The absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet on a wearer-facing side of the absorbent article and a garment-facing laminate on a garment-facing side of the absorbent article. The garment-facing laminate comprises a first nonwoven layer and a second layer joined to the first nonwoven layer. The first nonwoven layer comprises a plurality of apertures. At least 3 of the plurality of apertures in a repeat unit have a different Effective Aperture Area, according to the Aperture Test herein, a different shape, or a different Absolute Feret Angle, according to the Aperture Test herein. The absorbent article comprises an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the garment-facing laminate.
WATER-PERMEABILITY-IMPARTING AGENT, WATER-PERMEABLE FIBER, NON-WOVEN FABRIC, AND WATER-ABSORBING ARTICLE
A water permeability-imparting agent containing an alkylene oxide adduct (A) of a polyvalent active hydrogen compound represented by Formula (1):
R—[O(A.sup.1O).sub.m—(CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O).sub.n—H].sub.1 (1)
wherein R represents a residue, after removal of all active hydrogen, of the polyvalent active hydrogen compound; A.sup.1O represents a C2 to C4 alkyleneoxy group; m represents an average addition mole number of A.sup.1O and is a number of 4 to 50; n represents an average addition mole number of CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O; and 1 represents a valence and is an integer of 3 to 6, and an average addition mole number ratio between A.sup.1O and CH.sub.2CH.sub.2O in Formula (1), n/m, is 0 to 0.5.
Method of making a nonwoven web
Soft point bonded nonwoven webs, and methods of making the same, are described that utilize a pattern of small, discrete bond points in a sequent pattern that together form macro-elements. The macro-elements are themselves positioned and aligned within a pattern such that mechanical stretching operations on the point bonded nonwoven webs yields soft and bulky fabrics but with reduced incidence of tearing or rupturing of the individual bond points.
Elastomeric films having low tear propagation
Multilayer thermoplastic films, and laminates and articles comprising the films, wherein the film comprises at least one inner layer and at least two outer layers, wherein the inner layer comprises a polymeric composition comprising from about 55% to about 95% of one or more non-hydrogenated styrenic block copolymers, olefinic block copolymers, or combinations thereof; and each outer layer comprises at least 20% polypropylene and has a thickness of from about 5% to about 15% of the total film thickness, and further wherein the film has a constant force tear propagation of about 20% or less.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING AN ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
Described herein is an absorbent article. The absorbent article includes an assembly of components and an adhesive composition joining at least two of the assembly of components together. The adhesive composition includes from about 50 wt. % to about 80 wt. % of one or more copolymers and a blend of one or more heterophase copolymers. The one or more copolymers include from about 30 mole % to about 70 mole % of monomer units selected from ethylene. 1-butene, and mixtures thereof. The one or more copolymers also include from about 30 mole % to about 70 mole % of propene monomer units. The adhesive composition is free of polyisobutylene and has a viscosity of from about 2,000 mPa.Math.s to about 11,500 mPa.Math.s at 150° C.
Absorbent sheet for pets
An absorbent sheet for a pet toilet is provided. The pet toilet includes: a sheet accommodating portion that accommodates the absorbent sheet in a space surrounded by a bottom portion and side walls standing from the bottom portion; and an excretion receiving portion that receives excretions above the sheet accommodating portion and guides the excretions to the sheet accommodating portion. The absorbent sheet includes: a topsheet on a top side of the absorbent sheet and that includes fibers; a backsheet on a back side of the absorbent sheet; an absorber between the topsheet and the backsheet; a central region in which the absorber is disposed in plan view; and side regions that extend outside the central region and in which at least the topsheet is disposed.
