LAMINATE SHEET, SANITARY MATERIAL, MEDICAL MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LAMINATE SHEET
A laminate sheet includes a water-vapor permeable polyurethane film having a hard segment phase and a first spunbond nonwoven fabric disposed at one side in a thickness direction of the water-vapor permeable polyurethane film. The first spunbond nonwoven fabric contains stretchable fibers containing a thermoplastic polyurethane and non-stretchable fibers containing a polyolefin. The melting point of the hard segment phase is 65□ or more and 140□ or less.
Underpants-type disposable diaper with cover nonwoven fabric having improved air permeability
A cover nonwoven fabric covers a back surface of an inner member from between a front side outer member and the inner member to between a back side outer member and the inner member. The cover nonwoven fabric extends from a back surface side of a base portion of one side gather to a back surface side of a base portion of the other side gather. The cover nonwoven fabric has holes penetrating the front and back surfaces at intervals from between the front side outer and inner members to between the back side outer and inner members. The side edges of the cover nonwoven fabric are located at the positions same as the side edges of the narrowest part of the absorber in the width direction or on the center side in the width direction with respect to the side edges of the narrowest part.
Textile Backsheet
Textile backsheets including a nonwoven fabric and film, such as a vapor-permeable and liquid impermeable (VPLI) film or a non-permeable film, are provided, wherein the nonwoven fabric is directly or indirectly bonded to the film. Methods of making such textile backsheets and absorbent articles including the textile backsheets are also provided.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND COMPONENTS THEREOF HAVING IMPROVED SOFTNESS SIGNALS, AND METHODS FOR MANUFACTURING
An absorbent article having improved softness signals is disclosed. The article may include a topsheet or a backsheet including a nonwoven web. The web may have a basis weight of 30 gsm or less, may be formed of spunlaid fibers including polyolefin and up to 5 percent by weight TiO.sub.2, and may be impressed with a pattern of bond impressions to a bond area percentage of at least 10 percent forming a pattern of bonded regions and raised regions. The web may have opacity of 42 or greater; have an average height difference between bonded regions and raised regions of at least 280 μm; be hydroengorged; and/or have a cross-machine direction tensile strength of 350 gf/cm. A nonwoven web manufactured to have a suitable combination of such features exhibits an enhanced appearance of softness, soft tactile feel and satisfactory mechanical attributes, while being relatively cost effective.
Nonwoven Fabric Comprising A High Loft Spunbond Layer
The invention relates to a fabric comprising at least one high loft spunbond nonwoven layer having crimped multicomponent fibers, wherein a first component of the multicomponent fibers comprises a first polymer A and a second component of the multicomponent fibers comprises a blend of the first polymer A and a second polymer B, wherein the melt flow rate of polymer A is at least 25% higher than the melt flow rate of polymer B and wherein the second component comprises at least 40 wt.-% of polymer B.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING GRAPHICS
A pull-on disposable absorbent article comprising front and rear elastomeric belts each comprising first and second belt substrates, each substrate comprising at least one nonwoven layer; and a center chassis comprising at least one nonwoven layer and at least one film layer; wherein a graphic is disposed on a surface of the film layer of the center chassis and/or a graphic is disposed on the nonwoven layer of the first and/or second belts.
Wearable article with outwardmost layer of multicomponent fiber nonwoven providing enhanced mechanical features
A fastening system comprising a nonwoven web material operable to fastenably engage a fastening component is disclosed. The nonwoven web material may comprising multicomponent fibers having a polyolefin component and a polyamide component, and a machine direction bias. The nonwoven web material may bear an impressed pattern of thermal bonds having an average frequency along any line that can be identified in the machine direction, of at least 0.5 bonds per cm.
Apertured outer cover for absorbent articles
An outer cover for an absorbent article includes a nonwoven component having a plurality of apertures formed therein and a film bonded to the apertured nonwoven component. The apertures in the nonwoven component are formed by needling prior to the film being bonded to the nonwoven component. A method of making the outer cover includes feeding a web of nonwoven material to a needling station, needling the web of nonwoven material to form a plurality of apertures therein to define an apertured web of nonwoven material, and bonding the apertured web of nonwoven material to a film.
Absorbent article having elastic belt
Disclosed is an absorbent article continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprising a front elastic belt region, a back elastic belt region, a crotch region, a waist opening and two leg openings; the front and back elastic belt regions being a laminate comprising an inner sheet made of nonwoven fiber, and an outer sheet made of nonwoven fiber, and a plurality of elastic bodies configured to stretch the front and back elastic belt regions in the transverse direction, the outer sheet having a material caliper of at least about 0.25 mm at 500. Pa; the article further comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet; the absorbent core existing through the entire longitudinal dimension of the crotch region and extending at least partly in the back elastic belt region; the back elastic belt region having a maximum caliper MaxBC and a minimum caliper MinBC according to the measurements herein, wherein the difference between the MaxBC and the MinBC is no greater than about 5 mm.
ABSORBENT ARTICLES HAVING LAMINATES EXHIBITING VIBRANT GRAPHICS PERCEPTION
An absorbent article comprises a topsheet, backsheet, and absorbent core positioned intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet, and an outer cover nonwoven material. The outer cover nonwoven material comprises a first surface, a second surface, and a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on the first surface and/or the second surface. At least some of the three-dimensional features each comprise a first region and a second region. The first regions have a first value of an average intensive property. The second regions have a second, different value of the average intensive property. A garment-facing side of the backsheet comprises one or more visually vibrant graphics. A portion of the visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features overlaps a portion of the one or more visually vibrant graphics. The portion of the one or more visually vibrant graphics exhibits a chroma value greater than 8.
