Bi-Directional Packaging Adhesive
In aspects of bi-directional packaging adhesive, a sterile package includes an adhesive patch that adheres to an applied surface. The sterile package includes a non-stick backing that adheres to the adhesive patch, with the non-stick backing being removable for application of the adhesive patch. The sterile package includes packaging that encompasses the adhesive patch and the non-stick backing, and includes a bi-directional adhesive configured to release in a first package opening direction to remove the packaging while maintaining the adherence of the non-stick backing to the adhesive patch, and hold in a second package opening direction to remove the non-stick backing from the adhesive patch along with removing the packaging. A portion of the non-stick backing is attached to an inside of the packaging with the bi-directional adhesive, and the attached portion peels the non-stick backing from the adhesive patch in the second package opening direction to open the packaging.
Dispenser for a sterile bandage on a continuous roll
A bandage configured to be administered from a continuous roll, comprising: (I) a first layer of flexible webbed material, the first layer including a self-adhesive disposed on a top surface; and (II) a second layer of flexible padded material adhered to the first layer along a longitudinal axis by the self-adhesive, the second layer having a width less than a width of the first layer so that a portion of the self-adhesive is exposed on each longitudinal side of the second layer; wherein the self-adhesive may releasably adhere to a bottom surface of the first layer in a rolled form so that, when unrolled, an adhesive bond is broken free of damaging the first layer; and wherein, when the self-adhesive is bonded to itself and opposing adhesive portions, the resulting peel strength is greater than a peel strength when the self-adhesive is bonded to skin.
Casting tape package system
A casting tape package system is provided comprising an outer package defining a first interior portion enclosing a casting tape substrate including curable casting formulation and a second interior portion enclosing a curing agent. In certain embodiments, the curing agent is separated from the casting tape substrate by a barrier which is breakable to release the curing agent to activate the curable casting formulation.
HEALING TAPE
Disclosed is an adhesive wound healing tape comprised of a water vapor permeable backing and adhesive that can be applied over a wound and remain in place throughout the healing process. Preferably, the tape is applied over a wound without gauze bandage or non-stick gauze material and compresses opposing sides of the cut into one another to promote faster healing with a less visible and often invisible scar.
Unit for hemostasis and arrangement containing the same
The invention relates to a unit for hemostasis. The unit is configured to be directly applied to a bleeding wound and comprises an envelope enclosing an inner space as well as an effective amount of a hemostatic material disposed within the inner space. Furthermore, the invention relates to an arrangement of two or more such units for hemostasis, the units being coupled to each other. Moreover, the invention relates to a method for producing an arrangement of units for hemostasis. In accordance with the method, an effective amount of a hemostatic material is disposed within an interior region of a starting material, and neck regions are formed on both sides of the charge so as to form an envelope enclosing the charge.
Rolling device
A device for dispensing adhesive tape or for dispensing medical products stored on a roll, that includes a base plate, fitted with a pin upon which a roll or adhesive tape is attached, and a tearing section with a tearing blade spaced at a distance from the pin. The base plate is associated with a fastening section for partially gripping a rod or a bar. The fastening section includes an arm connected to the base plate and that merges with a crosspiece. The crosspiece is fixed to a free arm such that the rod or the bar can be accommodated between the free arm and the connected arm. Also included is at least one fastening unit that is provided to join the connected arm to the free arm.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPENSING STERILE ITEMS
A cartridge system comprising a carrier reel, distal and proximal take-up reels, a main guide post adapted to engage the main guide support, a first strip guide post, a second strip guide post, and a packaging strip. The packaging strip comprises first and second strip portions detachably secured to define a plurality of item chambers. At least one item is enclosed within each of the item chambers. The carrier reel is adapted to store the packaging strip. The distal take-up reel is operatively connected to the first strip portion. The proximal take-up reel is operatively connected to the second strip portion. Rotation of the distal and proximal take-up reels unwinds the packaging strip from the main wheel such that the first strip portion is wound onto the distal take-up reel, and the second strip portion is wound onto the proximal take-up reel.
Method of manufacturing package structure
A method of producing a packaging structure, including the steps: coating at least one surface of a first sheet base material and/or a second sheet base material with a synthetic polyisoprene latex having a weight average molecular weight of 500,000 -5,000,000 and/or a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of 100,000-300,000, sandwiching an article to be packaged in a state wherein the first and second sheet base material are in contact with each other via a latex coated surface formed on the first and/or second sheet base material to thereby obtain a laminated body, pressing a portion where at least the first and second sheet base material of the laminated body are in contact with each other via the latex coated surface at a temperature of 100° C. or less to thereby obtain a pressed laminated body, and performing a sterilization treatment on the pressed laminated body.
Systems and methods for dispensing sterile items
A dispensing system for items comprises a main housing and a cartridge assembly. The cartridge assembly comprises a carrier reel, distal and proximal take-up reels, and a packaging strip comprising first and second strip portions detachably secured to define a plurality of item chambers, where at least one item is enclosed within each of the item chambers. The main housing assembly defines a dispensing opening and comprises a drive system. The drive system is operatively connected to the proximal and distal take-up reels. Operation of the drive system rotates the distal and proximal take-up reels such that operation of the drive system rotates the distal and proximal take-up reels such that the packaging strip is unwound from the main wheel, the first strip portion is wound onto the distal take-up reel, the second strip portion is wound onto the proximal take-up reel, and the items are dispensed through the dispensing opening.
