SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING AND REGULATING BLADDER FUNCTION AND MECHANICS

Devices, methods, and systems for controlling a bladder of a subject are disclosed. For example, an apparatus for controlling the bladder can comprise a garment or accessory configured to be worn at least partially around a lower truncal region of a subject and a compression device coupled to the garment or accessory. The compression device can be configured to pressurize an abdominal wall of the subject when the garment or accessory is worn by the subject. The compression device can comprise a device housing having a contact surface, a device base, and an actuator. The actuator can translate the device housing in relation to the device base in a medial or lateral direction relative to the subject such that the contact surface of the device housing applies compressive forces to the abdominal wall of the subject when translated.

There is provided a method for controlling a flow of sperms in a uterine tube of a female patient. The method comprises electrically stimulating a uterine tube wall portion by controlling an implanted stimulation device from at least one of an external control unit and an internal control unit, wherein the electrically stimulating causes contraction of the uterine tube wall portion along a length of the portion to restrict the flow of sperms in the uterine tube.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXTERNAL URINARY INCONTINENCE TREATMENT FOR MEN
20170333244 · 2017-11-23 ·

The present invention is a device and method for external urinary incontinence treatment for men that can be self-deployed by a patient or by a care giver. Via the device, a urine removal tube is reversible connected to the glans penis of a treated patient for the removal of urine from a treated patient. The device of the present invention is composed of a penis connecting component and a tube connector component. The tube connector component reversibly contact-connects a urine receiving component to the glans penis of a treated patient. The tube connector component is reversibly connected, anchored and fixated in place to the glans penis of the treated patient by the penis connection component. The connection, disconnection and again reconnection of the penis connection component to the glans penis is easy and simple to carry out.’ The connection stabilizes, fixates and adjusts the tightness of the contact-connection between the skin surrounding the orifice of the urethral tract of a treated patient and the urine receiving component. The urine receiving component has spring-like characteristics bestowed by “accordion-like” components that enable a urine leak-free contact-connection while minimizing the discomfort caused to the treated patient.

An artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) system includes a cuff, a pump, and a single tube that provides the system with an inflatable storage compartment. The single tube is connected between the cuff and the pump and includes a first lumen communicating between the cuff and the pump and a separate second lumen communicating between the cuff and the pump. The cuff is inflatable with a cuff volume of liquid that is sized to selectively close the urethra for treatment of urinary incontinence. The pump is operable to move the cuff volume of liquid out of the cuff to provide the cuff with a deflated state that allows the urethra to open and pass urine. The second lumen has a storage compartment sized to retain the cuff volume of liquid.

Method for Treating Male Urinary Incontinence and a Controllable Urological Clamp
20170319318 · 2017-11-09 ·

The present application discloses a method for treating male urinary incontinence, which includes the following steps: 1) male urethral reconstruction surgery, 2) preparation of a urethral clamp, and 3) application of the urethral clamp. The urethral clamp and the surgical treatment of male urinary incontinence are low in medical costs, and no artificial material is implanted into the body. The method and the clamp device have the advantages of accurate urine control effect, simple manipulation of urination, minimal urethral reconstruction surgery, high success rate, and simple operation. It does not affect the sensation of penis and cavernous erection. It does not affect the appearance of penis, and it is easy for patients to accept the method and the clamp device. A controlled urethral clamp for the treatment of male urinary incontinence is also disclosed.
