Intraocular lens storage cart and methods
Systems, apparatuses, and methods include an intraocular lens (IOL) cart that may assist with inventory management and may help users identify an IOL for use in a particular surgical application. The IOL cart may include sensors and indicators that provide information to a user and may update IOL inventory automatically whenever the IOL cart is accessed by a user.
IOL FOLDING DEVICE
An intraocular lens (IOL) folding device is described.
INTRAOCULAR LENS INSERTION SYSTEM
A system for delivering an intraocular lens (IOL) is disclosed, including: a handpiece including a barrel defining an elongate passage, a pushrod disposed inside the elongate passage, and a plunger coupled to the pushrod; and a delivery unit coupled to a first end of the barrel, the delivery unit including a delivery tube and a lens holder coupled to the delivery tube, the lens holder including a lead haptic shelf arranged to receive a lead haptic of an IOL that is contained inside the lens holder, wherein the lead haptic shelf is configured to fold the lead haptic of the IOL over a body of the IOL while permitting the IOL to travel under the lead haptic shelf when the IOL is displaced from the lens holder to the delivery tube by the pushrod during delivery of the IOL into a patient's eye.
SYSTEMS TO AFFIX DEVICES TO INTRAOCULAR LENS ASSEMBLIES AND RELATED METHODS
Embodiments disclosed herein relate to systems and methods for securing a drug delivery component to an intraocular lens (IOL) assembly. The systems generally include a support base and a plunger. The support base includes a first portion configured to accommodate a drug delivery component; and a second portion configured to act as a plunger guide. The plunger can be inserted into the plunger guide such that the plunger is positioned to interface with a drug delivery component and an IOL assembly during use. The plunger includes an elongated body and a tip, wherein the tip can include a ramp configured to interface with a fixation loop of a drug delivery component during use and a compartment configured to interface with a haptic of an IOL assembly during use.
PACKAGING FOR SHIPPING AND STORING INTRAOCULAR LENSES
A method for manufacturing a packaging with an intraocular lens enclosed therein includes insertion of the intraocular lens into a packaging, comprising a first packaging material which is gas-tight in a first sub-section, and a second packaging material which is permeable to gases in a second sub-section, first sealing of the packaging so that the intraocular lens is enclosed in the interior space of the packaging, the interior space being partially delimited by the first sub-section and the second sub-section, sterilization of the interior space of the packaging by exposing the packaging to a gas so that the gas can penetrate through the second sub-section into the interior space of the packaging, second sealing of the packaging by sealing off a volume of the gas-tight first sub-section of the packaging with the intraocular lens enclosed therein from the volume of the second sub-section.
Package for Retaining and Dispensing a Delivery Shaft Assembly for Delivery of an Implant
Provided is a package (100) for holding and dispensing a delivery shaft assembly (200) for delivery of an implant (230), the package (100) comprising a vial (400) and an insert (300) mounted within a vial holding space (410), wherein the insert (300) comprises: a force receiving body (308) configured to support an adapter (210) of a delivery shaft assembly (200) during coupling to the inserter tool (500), a delivery shaft retaining mechanism (310) configured to releasably retain the delivery shaft,
wherein an application of force by an inserter tool (500) during coupling to the adapter (210) actuates the delivery shaft retaining mechanism (310) to release the retained delivery shaft (220) for withdrawal of the delivery shaft assembly (200) from the insert (300) and vial (400).
Intraocular lens injector
Apparatuses, systems, and methods for implanting an intraocular lens into an eye are described. For example, an intraocular lens injector may include a passage formed in a distal end portion of the intraocular lens injector. The passage may define an interior surface, and a ramp may be formed on the interior surface so as to cause a leading haptic of an intraocular lens (IOL) being advanced through the passage to lift above a surface of an optic of the IOL to ensure proper folding of the IOL.

Lens case and lens delivery system
The invention relates to a lens case (50, 150) for accommodating an intraocular lens, IOL (1). The lens case (50, 150) comprises a lens case body (3, 103) and a sliding element (4, 104) which can slide on the lens case body from a first position to a second position. The lens case body (3, 103) comprises a longitudinal recess (32, 132), having a first part (32a, 132a) and a second part (32b, 132b), the first part (32a, 132a) being adapted to receive a side zone of the IOL (1) comprising at least one haptic (2), the second part (32b, 132b) being adapted to receive a narrower central zone of the IOL (1). The sliding element (4, 104) comprises a bolt (5, 105a) arranged adjacent a loading port (34, 134) of the second part (32b, 132b) of the recess (32, 132) for displacing the IOL (1) within the recess (32, 132).
