DELIVERY CATHETER SYSTEM
20230000610 · 2023-01-05 ·

A delivery catheter system includes a catheter and an integrated embolic filter that is deployable prior to the delivery of a prosthesis in a patient's vasculature and retrievable after delivery of said prosthesis. The embolic filter is moveable from a collapsed state, in which the embolic filter is retained within the catheter body, to a deployed state in which the embolic filter extends from the catheter body and, in use, into contact with an inner wall of a patient's vasculature.

Medical device and procedure method

A medical device to be inserted into a blood vessel for effectively removing an object flowing in a biological lumen while reducing the burden on the living body includes an elongated shaft portion, and an expansion portion which is an elastically deformable cylindrical body having a plurality of gaps and in which a proximal portion or a distal portion of the cylindrical body is interlocked with the shaft portion. The expansion portion has a ring-shaped or annular bent portion which protrudes toward a proximal side position radially outside the expansion portion in a bent state of being bent along an axial direction, and an axial length of a second portion from the bent portion to a proximal end of the expansion portion is shorter than an axial length of a first portion from the bent portion to the distal end of the expansion portion.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING VASCULAR OCCLUSION
20230070120 · 2023-03-09 ·

A system and method for managing an occlusion, such as a blood clot, within a lumen or passageway of a patient. More particularly, a system and method for rapidly restoring blood flow through an occlusion including a self-expanding, tubular member through which blood may flow when in an expanded state. The tubular member has a structure configured to engage the occlusive material, thereby allowing for extraction of at least a portion of the occlusive material. The system may further employ a material extraction member that is deployed distally of the tubular member.

Distal protection devices having controllable wire motion

A distal protection device for use in a body lumen includes a functional element, which may be a filter or an occlusive element. The device includes a first elongate member, a second elongate member carried by the first elongate member, and the functional element carried by the second elongate member. Motion of the first elongate member can be independent of the motion of the functional element.

CATHETER WITH INTEGRATED EMBOLIC PROTECTION DEVICE

A prosthetic heart valve delivery catheter includes an embolic filter to provide integrated embolic protection to inhibit the release of emboli into the aorta, the aortic arch or branch vessels, and other vasculature during transvascular heart valve replacement procedures. The embolic filter will usually be fixedly or movably attached to a shaft of the delivery catheter proximal of the prosthetic heart valve.

Embolic protection device

Disclosed herein are devices and methods for providing embolic protection in a patient's vascular system. In particular, the devices detailed herein are supported by a flexible scaffold that is coupled to a filter. When deployed into the peripheral or coronary vasculature of a patient, the embolic protection devices of the present disclosure collect and remove embolic debris as a prophylactic measure to lessen the risk of embolic associated complications.

Transcatheter Anti Embolic Filter For Arterial and Venous Vessels

An intra-vessel transcatheter filter device (1) designed to capture and remove emboli, thus preventing distal embolization, comprising: • a tubular filter (2) comprising a flexible porous material and defined by a distal element and a proximal element, namely a main body (3) and a funnel (4); i. said main body (3) having a length adapted to extend within a suitable vessel zone; said main body (3) comprising: a) a distal end (5) that is adapted to be radially coupled with said zone and hermetically sealed to it when the device is in an active configuration, said distal end (5) being provided of selectively actionable closure means so that said distal end is designed to be open when the device is in an active configuration and closed before the device retraction, b) a proximal end (6); ii. said funnel (4) forming an extension of said main body (3), with the funnel base located at said proximal end (6). • a support structure assembly (8) comprising: i. a supporting catheter (11) extending within said main body (3), ii. one radially expandable distal structure (9) fixed to said distal end (5), iii. one radially expandable proximal structure (10) positioned in correspondence of said proximal end (6), said distal structure (9) and said proximal structure (10) being fixed at least in an end to said supporting catheter (11).

METHOD OF ISOLATING THE CEREBRAL CIRCULATION DURING A CARDIAC PROCEDURE

Single filter and multi-filter endolumenal methods and systems for filtering fluids within the body. In some embodiments a blood filtering system captures and removes particulates dislodged or generated during a surgical procedure and circulating in a patient's vasculature. In some embodiments a filter system protects the cerebral vasculature during a cardiac valve repair or replacement procedure.
