A temporomandibular joint replacement system includes a condylar component secured with a mandibular bone and a fossa component with a fossa backing secured with a zygomatic bone, the fossa having an open-ended concave fossa dome with a post-center peak to allow for mediolateral and anterior translation with a rounded, oblong condylar head of the condylar component. The bone-interfacing surfaces are anatomically-contoured to their respective bone surfaces and formed with materials and textures which promote osseointegration with the joint replacement.

A temporomandibular joint replacement system includes a condylar component secured with a mandibular bone and a fossa component with a fossa backing secured with a zygomatic bone and slidably attached with a removable fossa lining, the fossa lining having an open-ended concave fossa dome with a post-center peak to allow for mediolateral and anterior translation with a rounded, oblong condylar head of the condylar component. The slidable attachment mechanism of the fossa backing and fossa lining is laterally-oriented to allow for post-implantation removal and replacement without disturbing any bone or bone-interfacing components. The bone-interfacing surfaces are anatomically-contoured to their respective bone surfaces and formed with materials and textures which promote osseointegration with the joint replacement.

Expandable Interbody Devices and Related Instruments and Methods for Spinal Fusion Surgery
20220323234 · 2022-10-13 ·

An interbody device may include a main body and an arm movably connected thereto. The device may have a first end, a second end opposite the first end in a direction of a longitudinal axis of the device, a first side, a second side opposite the first side in a direction of a first transverse axis of the device, a third side, and a fourth side opposite the third side in a direction of a second transverse axis of the device. An overall distance between the first side and the second side may increase along at least a majority of a length of the device in a direction from the first end toward the second end, and an overall distance between the third side and the fourth side may increase along at least a majority of the length in a direction from the second end toward the first end.

ARTIFICIAL JOINT STEM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ARTIFICIAL JOINT STEM
20230147429 · 2023-05-11 ·

In the present disclosure, an artificial joint stem includes a base and a coating film located on the base. The base includes a first region, a second region, and a third region located in sequence. The coating film contains a calcium phosphate-based material and an antimicrobial material. The coating film is located across the first region and the second region, and the third region is exposed from the coating film. The surface of the coating film located in the first region has a larger surface roughness than the surface of the base in the third region.

The rough surface includes an exposed region exposed from the coating film.

Process for fabricating bioactive vertebral endplate bone-contacting surfaces on a spinal implant

An interbody spinal implant including a body having a top surface, a bottom surface, opposing lateral sides, and opposing anterior and posterior portions. At least a portion of the top surface, the bottom surface, or both surfaces has a roughened surface topography including both micro features and nano features, without sharp teeth that risk damage to bone structures, adapted to grip bone through friction generated when the implant is placed between two vertebrae and to inhibit migration of the implant. The roughened surface topography typically further includes macro features and the macro features, micro features, and nano features overlap. Also disclosed are methods of using such implants and processes of fabricating a roughened surface topography on a surface of an implant. The process includes separate and sequential macro processing, micro processing, and nano processing steps.

Implants, systems, instruments, methods, and kits for metatarsophalangeal joint arthroplasty may include metatarsal arthroplasty implants, repositioning guides, broach tools, inserter tools, and sterilizable packaging configured to facilitate metatarsal arthroplasty surgical procedures. The metatarsal arthroplasty implants may generally include an articular member having a convex articular surface, a concave bone-facing surface opposite the convex articular surface, and at least one side surface intermediate the convex articular surface and the concave bone-facing surface, as well as a central shaft sized for insertion into a metatarsal bone having a central shaft longitudinal axis, a central shaft proximal end coupled to the concave bone-facing surface of the articular member, and a central shaft distal end extending away from the concave bone-facing surface of the articular member along the central shaft longitudinal axis.

System and methods for facet joint treatment

A method of resurfacing a facet joint with a facet implant system. The facet joint includes a superior facet and an inferior facet that are adjacent to each other and movable with respect to each other. A first facet implant component is provided that has a first visualization marker. The first visualization marker includes a first marker section and a second marker section. The first marker section is oriented at an angle with respect to the second marker section. The first facet implant component between the superior facet and the inferior facet. A location and an orientation of the first facet implant component are determined using an imaging technique that locates the first visualization marker.
