IMPLANT COMPONENT
A humeral implant component connectable to another humeral implant component, the humeral implant component comprising: a longitudinal axis, a first end and a second end, the first end and the second end opposing each other along the longitudinal axis of the humeral implant component, and an interface part for connecting the humeral implant component to the other humeral implant component, wherein the interface part is tapered along the longitudinal axis in a direction from the second end to the first end, the interface part being engageable with a tapered interface part of the other humeral implant component to form a tapered connection between the humeral implant component and the other humeral implant component, wherein the humeral implant component further comprises a through hole extending along the longitudinal axis for locking the tapered connection by a longitudinal fastener.
Method and apparatus for minimally invasive insertion of intervertebral implants
A dilation introducer for orthopedic surgery is provided for minimally invasive access for insertion of an intervertebral implant. The dilation introducer may be used to provide an access position through Kambin's triangle from a posterolateral approach. A first dilator tube with a first longitudinal axis is provided. A second dilator tube may be introduced over the first, advanced along a second longitudinal axis parallel to but offset from the first. A third dilator tube may be introduced over the second, advanced along a third longitudinal axis parallel to but offset from both the first and the second. An access cannula may be introduced over the third dilator tube. With the first, second, and third dilator tubes removed, surgical instruments may pass through the access cannula to operate on an intervertebral disc and/or insert an intervertebral implant.
Expandable implant for the spinal column
The invention relates to an expandable implant (11) with an upper plate (12) and a lower plate (16) which extend in the xy plane, which serve for anchoring on/in the vertebral support surfaces, and at least three gears (20, 25, 30) which are coupled to each other, wherein the gears (20, 25, 30) serve to expand the implant (11), and each gear (20, 25, 30) has a threaded spindle (21, 25, 31) and a threaded sleeve with corresponding inner thread (22, 27, 32), wherein the pitch of one thread (31, 32) is different from the pitch of the other threads (21, 22; 26, 27). The invention also relates to an operating instrument (80) for this implant.
EXPANDABLE VERTEBRAL PROSTHESIS
The present invention relates to an expandable prosthetic implant device for engagement between vertebrae generally comprising an inner member, outer member, gear member and a locking assembly positioned coaxial with respect to each other such that the inner and outer members are moveable relative to each other along an axis. The gear member is axially fixed to the outer member and freely rotatable with respect to the outer member and the gear member threadedly engages a threaded portion of the inner member to translate inner member along the axis. The implant is configured to engage the vertebrae in a predetermined alignment and the gear member includes gear teeth exposed to the exterior and configured to be accessible by a tool member at a plurality of angular positions around the perimeter of the implant device.
Bone fusion device, apparatus and method
A bone fusion method, apparatus and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together and/or in place of one or more of the bones, such as, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device comprises one or more extendable plates having a central rib. The bone fusion device includes one or more support channels configured to receive an insertion instrument that is then secured to the bone fusion device via a coupling mechanism. As a result, the coupled device is able to be securely positioned between vertebrae using the insertion instrument with minimal risk of slippage.
BONE FUSION DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD
A bone fusion method, system and device for insertion between bones that are to be fused together in order to replace degenerated discs and/or bones, for example, the vertebrae of a spinal column. The bone fusion device comprises a frame and one or more extendable plates that are able to be angled, rotatable, adjustable, and have top profiles designed to correct and/or match the replaced discs/bones. The bone fusion device is able to be inserted between or replace the vertebrae by using a minimally invasive procedure wherein the dimensions and/or other characteristics of the bone fusion device are selectable based on the type of minimally invasive procedure.

Glenoid implant for inverted shoulder prosthesis
A glenoid implant for an inverted shoulder prosthesis includes a base, a glenosphere having a central orifice and mounted on the base by mutual wedging between conical bearing surfaces, a main anchoring screw crossing the base and including an anchor rod having a tapped end segment, and an inner hole having a threaded intermediate portion, and a tip portion. A locking screw crosses the central orifice and includes a proximal head and a locking rod having an end segment intended to slide in the tip portion of the inner hole and a tapped intermediate segment intended to cooperate by screwing with the intermediate portion of the inner hole to lock the mutual wedging of the conical bearing surfaces, the proximal head abutting on an annular bearing surface in the central orifice.
