Posterior shoulder arthroplasty implants, systems, and methods
A stemless humeral head replacement system including a base plate and a humeral head implant. The base plate includes a bone facing side, an implant side opposite the bone facing side, a curvate perimeter, at least one fin protruding from the bone facing side a first distance and extending linearly a length along the bone facing side, and an implant engagement structure on the implant side. The humeral head implant includes a curvate implant surface and a base plate engagement structure opposite the curvate implant surface, the base plate engagement structure configured to couple to the implant engagement structure of the base plate.
Intervertebral prosthesis
An intervertebral prosthesis for insertion between adjacent vertebrae includes upper and lower prosthesis plates locatable against respective vertebrae and having opposing concavely curved recesses therein, and a core located between the plates. The core has opposed, convexly curved surfaces received in the recesses of the plates to allow the plates to slide in articulated manner over the core. The opposed surfaces of the core and the recesses of the plates have cooperating spherical curvatures. The recess of each plate surrounds a locating peg projecting centrally from the base of the recess and is bounded by an annular rim, such that the annular rims of the plates are arranged to contact one another at a predetermined limit of sliding movement of the plates over the core. The peg locates loosely in an opening located centrally in a curved surface of the core, whereby the plates can slide over the core in all directions while the peg holds the core captive.
IMPLANT COMPONENT
A humeral implant component connectable to another humeral implant component, the humeral implant component comprising: a longitudinal axis, a first end and a second end, the first end and the second end opposing each other along the longitudinal axis of the humeral implant component, and an interface part for connecting the humeral implant component to the other humeral implant component, wherein the interface part is tapered along the longitudinal axis in a direction from the second end to the first end, the interface part being engageable with a tapered interface part of the other humeral implant component to form a tapered connection between the humeral implant component and the other humeral implant component, wherein the humeral implant component further comprises a through hole extending along the longitudinal axis for locking the tapered connection by a longitudinal fastener.
Intervertebral implant with keel
An intervertebral implant component of an intervertebral implant includes an outer surface for engaging an adjacent vertebra and an inner surface. A keel extends from the outer surface and is designed to be disposed in a slot provided in the adjacent vertebra. This keel extends in a plane which is non-perpendicular to the outer surface; and preferably there are two of the keels extending from the outer surface which are preferably offset laterally from one another. In another embodiment, an anterior shelf is provided at an anterior end of the outer surface, and this anterior shelf extends vertically away from the inner surface in order to help prevent bone growth from the adjacent vertebra towards the inner surface. Further in accordance with disclosed embodiments, various materials, shapes and forms of construction of the component and/or keel provide various benefits.
JOINT REPLACEMENT PROSTHESIS WITH TRANS-CORTICAL STEMS
Provided is a novel joint replacement prosthesis that includes a base component, and one or more modular stems. The base component includes a bone-facing surface including one or more stem connectors configured for receiving and forming connections with the one or more modular stems inserted from the bone-facing surface side.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR JOINT REPLACEMENT ARTHROPLASTY
A radiocarpal wrist joint replacement includes a radial member configured to be affixed to a portion of an end of the radial bone proximal to the wrist including a fixture to be affixed over a longitudinal aspect of the radial bone and a radial resurfacing plate having a substantially concave surface configured to be located at the end of the radial bone. A carpal capitate bone insert configured to be inserted and affixed into the carpal capitate bone. A bulbous component includes a first convex head and a second convex head, substantially opposite each other and connected by a neck between the first and the second convex head. The radial resurfacing plate of the radial member with the concave surface is configured to be operably coupled to the second convex head of the bulbous component so as to allow radial freedom of motion in the joint replacement.

Motion preserving spinal implant for total disc replacement
A motion preserving spinal implant is presented for use in placement between intervertebral space for total replacement of a degenerated spinal disc. The motion preserving spinal implant has a pair of end plates sandwiched around an inner core and an outer core, with the inner core being concentrically positioned within the outer core. The outer core encapsulates the inner core and provides adequate sealing of the inner core while maintaining flexibility and elasticity to advantageously support physiological movements. The inner core is constructed of an elastomeric material and acts as a solid diaphragm in order to resist and withstand localized compression and other forces. The end plates provide anchoring and fusion with adjoining vertebra and hold the inner and outer cores in place. The motion preserving spinal implant restores the normal height and natural function of the degenerated spinal disc and preserves the natural motion of the spine.
IMPLANT HAVING A SHAFT COATED WITH A WEB STRUCTURE
In various embodiments, an implant for interfacing with a bone structure includes a web structure including a space truss. The space truss includes two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes and the web structure is configured to interface with human bone tissue. In some embodiments, a method is provided that includes accessing an intersomatic space and inserting an implant into the intersomatic space. The implant includes a web structure including a space truss. The space truss includes two or more planar truss units having a plurality of struts joined at nodes and the web structure is configured to interface with human bone tissue.
Prosthetic spinal disc replacement and methods thereof
The present invention relates generally to a prosthetic spinal disc for replacing a damaged disc between two vertebrae of a spine and methods for inserting said discs. The intervertebral prosthetic discs are provided with connections for facilitating implantation and removal and features which enhance primary and secondary stability over time.
