Prosthesis cover and method of manufacture
A sleeve generally shaped as a limb and an overlapping area of curvature formed in the sleeve extending a length of the sleeve. A clasp is formed from slicing the overlapping area of curvature the length of the sleeve along a line substantially perpendicular to a transverse plane to create a first end and a second end. The sleeve is openable to separate the first end and the second end of the clasp for fitting the sleeve around the prosthesis and latchable by fitting the first end of the clasp over the second end of the clasp.
PROSTHETIC DEVICES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Embodiments of the present invention provide improved prosthetic devices. The prosthetic devices may be fabricated using environmental friendly, renewable and sustainable materials. Methods of manufacturing the devices are also provided. Additionally, the present invention provides an environmental friendly, renewable and sustainable substitute for carbon and/or fiberglass materials.
BIOMEDICAL FINGER ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH CAPACITIVE PANELS
A prosthetic digit usable with capacitive panels is provided. The digit includes at least one conductive layer surrounding the body of the digit, and a non-conductive sealing layer around the conductive layer preventing direct external contact of the conductive layer with the capacitive panel. The digit may have a conductive tip pad to create a series capacitive pathway between the conductive layer of the body and the electrodes of the capacitive panel. Using the digit with a capacitive panel does not require a direct conductive pathway, e.g., a pathway between the capacitive panel and the structure of the device, the user's skin, or metallic sink.
PROSTHESIS SOCKET AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A prosthesis socket comprising a proximal entry open and a distal end or a distal end region and a fastening system provided there for a prosthesis component, wherein the prosthesis socket has a frame consisting of a fiber-reinforced plastic material with at least one opening, a textile which spans the opening being fixed to the frame.
FLEXIBLE MEDICAL APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH AN APPLIANCE
A flexible medical appliance intended to be placed on a part of a patient's body and to match its shape comprises a rigid structure having a contour, as well as at least one deformable layer. The appliance further comprises a bonding fabric engaging at least one peripheral portion of the rigid structure extending along its contour, the rest of the bonding fabric forming an exposed portion for receiving the deformable layer. The rigid structure and the deformable layer are assembled edge to edge, the deformable layer completing the rigid structure to form the medical appliance. The present disclosure also proposes a method for manufacturing such an appliance.
PROSTHETIC FOOT DEVICE
A prosthetic foot device (1) having a longitudinal direction (L) and a transverse direction (T) and comprising a base spring blade (2), an ankle spring blade (3) being made from a composite material comprising glass fibres and a heel spring blade (4), the base spring blade (2) and the ankle spring blade (3) being connected in a forefoot region (5) of the prosthetic foot device (1), the base spring blade (2) and the heel spring blade (4) being connected in a heel region (7) of the prosthetic foot device and the ankle spring blade (3) and the heel spring blade (4) being connected in an ankle region (9) of the prosthetic foot device.
CARBON FIBER PROSTHETIC FOOT WITH HOLLOW CROSS SECTIONS
A hollow tubulous composite structure and method for prosthetic limbs is described.
Suspension liner having multiple component system
A suspension liner for a residual limb has a liner body with a plurality of anterior and posterior projections formed from a thickness of the liner body. Medial and lateral tendons are located between and correspond to profiles of the plurality of the anterior and posterior projections such that the medial and lateral tendons are located on opposed sides of the liner body relative to one another. The medial and lateral tendons flare circumferentially toward proximal and distal sections of the liner body.
Advanced Fitment of Prosthetic Devices
A method utilizing digital scanning, additive manufacturing, and electronic embedded garments for advanced fitment of prosthetic devices.
PROSTHETIC LIMB SOCKET WITH VARIABLE HARNESS
A system and method for producing a customized prosthetic socket based on a digital representation of a residual limb that is used to form a digital model of a prosthetic socket. The digital model is customized to alter its internal structure to produce differing areas of flexibility and support while maintaining the overall geometry of the model and without having to use different materials. The digital model is converted for use with a three-dimensional printing or manufacturing device and then used to print the customized socket.
