An outer frame for a prosthetic limb is provided. The outer frame is formed from one or more parts and has a plurality of air flow openings.
Prosthetic socket system, and prosthetic socket and liner
A prosthetic socket system comprising a prosthetic socket and a liner, said prosthetic socket having a distal end region, at least one socket wall extending therefrom in proximal direction, and connection means for securing a prosthetic component. The socket wall, when in the applied state, at least partially enclose a stump that is received in the prosthetic socket The liner includes a proximal entry opening and a lateral wall which extends in the distal direction, at least partially surrounds a stump when in the applied state and is arranged between the stump and the prosthetic socket when in the applied state. A coupling device is arranged between the liner and the prosthetic socket in the distal end region, and, on the outer side of the lateral wall of the liner and on the inner side of the socket wall, resistance regions are arranged or formed which interact with one another and which counteract a movement extracting said liner out of the prosthetic socket, in the proximal direction.
Post-operative support apparatus for a patient's residual limb
A post-operative support apparatus for a patient's transfemoral residual limb, includes: a planar, stretchable, tensionable and flexible wrap panel sized to wrap around an outer circumference of a patient's transfemoral residual limb, where the wrap panel includes first fastener(s) for maintaining the wrap panel in place around the patient's residual limb; a planar, stretchable, tensionable and flexible hip-band sized to wrap around an outer circumference of a patient's hip or waist, where the hip-band includes second fastener(s) for maintaining the hip-band in place around the patient's hip or waist; and third fastener(s) releasably fastening the wrap panel to the hip-band.
Securing apparatus for a prosthetic leg
A securing apparatus for a prosthetic leg including a belt strap, a pair of hook and loop fasteners disposed on the belt strap, and a pair of top attachment loops attached to the belt strap. A sled-shaped support attachment includes a flattened base portion, a pair of support extensions, and a pair of bottom attachment loops. Each of a right ratchet strap and a left ratchet strap of a pair of ratchet straps has an upper spring-loaded clip and a lower spring-loaded clip. The upper spring-loaded clip of each of the right ratchet strap and the left ratchet strap is attachable to the right top attachment loop and the left top attachment loop, respectively. The lower spring-loaded clip of each of the right ratchet strap and the left ratchet strap is attachable to a right bottom attachment loop and a left bottom attachment loop, respectively, of the support attachment.
Prosthetic suspension mounting assembly
A prosthetic suspension-mounting system which employs an improved flathead bolt and socket centering cup combination for securement of an amputee-limb enveloping liner within a prosthesis. The liner has a strap fixedly attached on the bottom end of the liner by a flathead bolt. The mounting system also includes a containment socket for seating the liner in the prosthesis using the head of the flathead bolt as a bearing surface against a floor of the socket. The containment socket has a slot there through at a position corresponding to the strap of the liner. The socket is provided with a disk-shaped recess having a flat floor, and the liner is provided with a distal flathead bolt having a flat head to provide a direct bearing surface against the floor of the socket. This provides a delimited bearing surface to keep the liner substantially centered within the prosthesis while still affording a lateral degree of freedom to avoid concentration of lateral forces.
Adjustable prosthetic limb system
An adjustable socket system includes a socket frame having a proximal area, a distal area opposite the proximal area, a first component arranged along a first side of the socket system, and a second component arranged along a second side of the socket system. The first component is connected to the second component. A tubular insert is arranged on an interior of at least the proximal area of the socket frame. The tubular insert forms an interior surface of the socket system. At least one tensioning element operatively connects the tubular insert to the first and/or second components. At least one tensioner is attached to the at least one tensioning element that selectively tensions the tensioning element to adjust a circumference of at least one area of the socket system.
Adjustable socket system
An adjustable prosthetic socket includes proximal and distal ends and an axis extending between the proximal and distal ends. A distal base is adapted to support a distal portion of a residual limb and is located at the distal end of the socket. First and second spines extend upward from the distal base that define at least part of a circumference of the socket about the axis. A proximal support is connected to the second spine and arranged to distribute pressure from the second spine over a portion of the residual limb. A tensioning system is operatively connected to the first and second spines and arranged to selectively adjust the circumference of the socket. The tensioning system includes a dial tensioner connected to the first spine.
A FLEXIBLE MULTI USE POST OPERATIVE PROSTHETIC SOCKET SYSTEM
A prosthetic apparatus and system for a trans-tibial amputee consisting of a post-operative interface socket that can be adjusted to accommodate the size of an amputated limb and changes in size of the limb. The prosthetic apparatus includes a lower socket into which the post-operative socket can be inserted, the lower socket being adjustable for changes in size of the post-operative interface socket. The post-operative socket also has a removable upper back shell that immobilizes movement of the knee during an initial recovery phase but can be removed to allow the knee of the amputee to flex.
Liner for orthopedic or prosthetic device
A liner for an orthopedic or prosthetic device includes a core formed from a porous and compressible material, a first layer secured to the first side of the core and forming a first surface to the liner, and a second layer secured to the second side of the core and forming a second surface to the liner. The first and second layers may comprise different properties from one another and be formed from different materials including fabrics and polymeric materials. A polymeric film may be secured to the core or one of the layers to define at least part of a surface of the liner.
