A protective dressing includes an outer dressing and an adhesive layer. The outer dressing includes an opening and a cavity sized to receive a phase-change material (PCM) insert inserted through the opening. The adhesive layer is configured to adhere to a patient's skin surrounding an anatomic site. When adhered to the patient's skin, the PCM insert modifies the patient's skin at the anatomic site. The PCM insert may be removed and replaced with another PCM insert. For example, a warm PCM insert may be replaced with a refrigerated PCM insert. The opening of the outer dressing may be self-sealing. The opening of the outer dressing may be sealed with an upper layer dressing coupled to the PCM cooling insert.
LIPOSOMES, EMULSIONS, AND METHODS FOR CRYOTHERAPY
A method and system in accordance with a particular embodiments of the technology includes applying a substance onto skin of a human subject. The applied substance can include a freezing point depressant and a liposome, an oil-in-water emulsion, a water-in-oil emulsion, or an oil-in-oil emulsion and can be configured to protect or target tissue. The substance and a surface of the skin can be cooled using the applicator to treat acne and other skin conditions.
LIFTING BAND
The present invention relates to a lifting band comprising: a band member provided in the form of a plate having elasticity and resilience and having a predetermined area; at least one light source part disposed on one surface of the band member and including a plurality of LEDs that, when power is applied, emit light of a predetermined wavelength band so as to improve the skin; and a cover member which is fixed to one surface of the band member so as to cover the at least one light source part.
Esthetic apparatus useful for increasing skin rejuvenation and methods thereof
The present invention provides a device for rejuvenating a region of skin or mucosal tissue, comprising: a pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator; a plurality of electrodes in communication with the pulsed electromagnetic frequency generator and an RF tissue diathermy device. The electrodes apply the pulsed electromagnetic power and the RF tissue diathermy to the tissue, heating it such that one portion of the region of mucosal tissue is maintained at a predetermined temperature range T.sub.1 while another portion of the region of mucosal tissue is at least temporarily maintained at predetermined temperature range T.sub.2.
PAIN-REDUCING INSERTION APPARATUS AND USES THEREOF
Provided are systems and methods for reducing pain during an injection or an insertion of an object into the skin of a subject.
HANDPIECE INCLUDING COOLING DEVICE
A handpiece including a cooling device for a skin care device used for improving or treating a skin. The handpiece includes: a case; a cooling head part mounted at a fore-end inside the case and configured to generate cooling energy; a cooling plate part which has a rear end for receiving the cooling energy from the cooling head part and has a fore-end that cools a treatment site through the contact with the skin; a needle part which includes needles for penetrating into the skin during the procedure for skin care; and a linear motor unit which includes a driving unit configured to penetrate the cooling head part is coupled to the needle, and a motor unit located at a rear of the cooling head part and inducing a linear movement of the needle part by a forward and backward movement of a driving unit.
