The warming device has an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface may have a first sheet of material. The first sheet of material may include a heat-transferring material that provides heat to a user at a first temperature. The lower surface may have a second sheet of material that includes a protective layer that transfers heat to the skin at a second temperature. The upper surface and lower surface may be color coded or have other indicia to assist a user in determining the type of heating surface. The apparatus may be adjusted to fit on the wrists or legs of a user.
System and methods for monitoring and/or controlling temperature in a therapy device
A temperature therapy system and a method for temperature control for such a temperature therapy system are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a temperature therapy system has a retention mechanism and a plurality of temperature modulation systems attached to the retention mechanism, wherein each of the plurality of temperature modulation systems comprises a thermoelectric cooler. The wearable personal temperature therapy system may have a plurality of temperature sensors and a plurality of conductive flags, wherein each of the plurality of conductive flags is adhered to a respective thermoelectric cooler and a respective temperature sensor. The wearable personal temperature therapy system may have a control module electrically coupled to each of the plurality of temperature modulation systems and each of the plurality of temperature sensors, wherein each of the temperature modulation systems is controlled based on a control voltage applied to the thermoelectric cooler of the respective temperature modulation system.
BODY-MOUNTABLE CUSHION STRUCTURE FOR POST-SURGICAL SUPPORT AND PROTECTION AND METHOD OF USE
Pivotably connected upper and lower cushions may be sized and shaped to protect chest and lower abdomen areas of a patient, respectively. The cushion structure may be held against the chest and/or abdomen areas of a patient by a combination of an adjustable and disconnectable neck strap attached to an upper portion of the upper cushion, and an adjustable length and resilient strap, such as an elastic belt binder, which may be positioned around the user's waist and the upper cushion. The lower cushion may pivotably move with the patient's legs, allowing the cushion structure to be comfortably used when moving between standing and seated positions, and providing improved protection from automotive seat belts. Pockets may be provided for positioning ice packs proximate the patient's body and for inconspicuously placing a negative-pressure wound therapy vacuum pump or other items.
WEIGHTED SLEEP MASK
A sleep mask is created comprising a sleep mask cover that can accommodate a weighted mask component and a thermal mask component. The sleep mask cover may include a fastening mechanism at the opening which may be removably engaged or disengaged to disable or enable, respectively, access to the opening for insertion of the weighted mask component and the thermal mask component. The weighted mask component may include a set of eye panels that are devoid of weight material to prevent unwanted pressure on a human user's eyes when the sleep mask is worn around the head of a human user. Further, the weighted mask component may include a pocket for insertion of the thermal mask component.
POSTPARTUM BELLY WRAP
Presented is a belly wrap wearable by a postpartum woman The belly wrap includes a wrap body having a first side, and a second side. The wrap body includes a back support section with a pocket disposed thereof, a first side section, and a second side section attached on either side of the back support section, and an abdomen support section attached to one side of the second side section. The abdomen support section includes a pocket configured on the first side of the wrap body, and a first matting means configured on the second side of the wrap body. The first side section further includes finger-like projections extending therefrom. The finger-like projections include a head incorporating a second mating means. The second mating means removably engages with the first mating means to ensure the belly wrap is wrapped around the abdomen and back of the woman.
Vibration device
Methods and systems for providing distributed vibration therapy. The vibration device includes a plurality of vibration motors that are located along a grid. The vibration motors are embedded on a basal pad. A primary diffuser overlays the embedded the vibration motors. The device is portable and can be adaptable to a target body part.
At-home cryolipolysis device and method of performing cryolipolysis
A cryolipolysis device is provided. The cryolipolysis device includes a suction unit including a flange configured to press against a treatment area of a user, and a chamber contiguous with the flange that defines a cavity configured to receive an ice pack. The cryolipolysis device also includes a manual vacuum device configured to produce suction within the chamber of the suction unit to generate a vacuum to maintain the flange against the treatment area of the user.
Pain management and post-operative hip orthosis
An improved pain management and post-operative hip orthosis includes a waist strap having first and second ends, a lower strap having first and second ends, and a pocket extending between the waist strap and lower strap. The pocket has inner and outer panels fastened to each other to define an upper opening and a lower opening. A cooling pack including a reservoir and inlet and outlet tubes extending from a bottom of the reservoir is applied to the pocket such that the inlet and outlet tubes pass through the lower opening of the pocket.
Adjustable low-profile orthopedic hip brace
A hip brace is provided which includes an iliac crest pressure plate, a femur pressure plate, a quadriceps pressure plate, and a bracket to connect the plates. The bracket includes one or more adjustable hinges to adjust positioning of at least one of the iliac crest pressure plate, the femur pressure plate, or the quadriceps pressure plate to correspond with dimensions of a user. The bracket further includes a range of motion restriction dial to control flexion or extension of the hip of the user, where the range of motion restriction is positioned on the bracket to correspond to the femur pressure plate.
