COLD SLURRY CONTAINMENT
The present invention provides methods and devices for controlling a cold slurry that is delivered to a target tissue and for limiting heat transferring from surrounding tissue to the target tissue. In particular, a balloon structure is deployed at or near a point of delivery to act as a physical and/or thermal barrier. In some instances, the balloon structure can act as a pressure device obstructing the flow of warm blood into a treatment area, which can melt the cold slurry.
HUMAN EXTREMITY WARMING APPARATUS
A human extremity warming apparatus includes a first strap and a second strap with a housing positioned thereinbetween. The warming apparatus includes a warming device. The warming device has an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface may have a first sheet of material. The first sheet of material may include a heat-transferring material that provides heat to a user at a first temperature. The lower surface may have a second sheet of material that includes a protective layer that transfers heat to the skin at a second temperature. The upper surface and lower surface may be color coded or have other indicia to assist a user in determining the type of heating surface. The apparatus may be adjusted to fit on the wrists or legs of a user.
Equine thermal therapy overleg device
An equine thermal therapy overleg device that encircles a pastern of a subject horse and provides thermal therapy to the subject horse. The may include a pastern dual layer component, a distal phalanx cover and a distal phalanx slipper. The arrangement of the pastern dual layer component, a distal phalanx cover and a distal phalanx slipper allow for free movement of the subject horse and for a thermal fluid to contain ice and prevent the ice from becoming lodged around the subject horse hoof.
Targeted Temperature Management Systems, Pads, and Methods Thereof
Disclosed are systems, pads, and methods for targeted temperature management. A pad can include a multilayered pad body, a pad inlet connector, and a pad outlet connector. The pad body can include a plurality of separable longitudinal portions, wherein each longitudinal portion of the longitudinal portions includes a conduit, a patient-interfacing layer over the conduit, and an insulation layer over the conduit opposite the patient-interfacing layer. The conduit can be configured to convey a temperature-controlled fluid as a supply fluid from a hydraulic system or convey a return fluid back to the hydraulic system. The patient-interfacing layer can include a thermally conductive medium configured for placement on a patient’s body. The insulation layer can include an insulative foam. The pad inlet connector can be configured for charging the pad with the supply fluid while the pad outlet connector can be configured for discharging the return fluid from the pad.
Medical Head-Cooling Cap Set
Afforded is a medical head-cooling cap set that heightens scalp-cooling efficiency and that fitted on to a user's head produces no pressuring feeling nor slips out of place. The cap set is constituted from a head-cooling cap, an inner cap, and an outer cap. Two first belts that are drawn out from either side of the outer-cap opening part and stretch to the exterior are linkable by a first fastener, and after the head has been passed into the opening and the outer cap has been donned, the belts can be fastened neck-area-forward by the fastener; meanwhile, two second belts that extend from alongside the rear part mid-brim and head front brim-ward are linkable by a second clasp, and after the head has been passed into the opening and the outer cap has been donned, the second belts can be fastened around the forehead by the clasp.
Cooling pack
Described are various embodiments of a cooling pack. In one such embodiment a cooling pack is provided for cooling a crotch region of a human while seated on a seating surface, the cooling pack comprising a tapered container for holding a cooling material therein, and defined by tapering upper and lower surfaces drawing into a tapered edge to be positioned between the crotch region and the seating surface in use, thereby providing cooling for the region.
CLINICAL GARMENT WITH INSULATION
Aspects of the present disclosure can be related to a warming device, systems, and methods of using. The warming device can include a clinical garment comprising a body portion adapted to cover a portion of a patient, an inner surface configured to face the patient, and an outer surface opposite the inner surface. The body portion can include sleeves sized and positioned for receiving the patients arms. In addition, the clinical garment can include an insulative layer comprising an insulative edge portion disposed on the clinical garment. The insulative edge portion is configured to make the warming device non-linting.
Convective Warming Device
Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a warming system including a warming device. The warming device includes a clinical garment comprising a body portion adapted to cover a portion of a patient, an inner surface for facing the patient, and an outer surface for facing away from the patient. The body portion includes sleeves sized and positioned for receiving the patient's arms and a torso portion adapted to cover an anterior torso of a patient. A first pneumatic convective device can be disposed adjacent to the inner surface of the clinical garment. The pneumatic convective device can include an opening formed in the clinical garment for admitting a stream of pressurized, warmed air into the first pneumatic convective device. The warming system can also have a second pneumatic convective device in a fully-folded configuration or partially-folded configuration and disposed on a portion of the clinical garment.
ELECTRICALLY-HEATABLE PLASTER
The invention relates to electrically-heatable plasters which comprise a self-adhesive skin contact layer, an electrically-conductive textile fabric in which electrically-conductive fibres are in contact with one another, as a heating element, and optionally at least one active substance, as well as to a method for production and the use of same for local heat therapy and/or transdermal application of active substances.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPEUTIC SHOE AND TROUSER ASSEMBLY
A multi-functional physiotherapeutic shoe and trouser assembly belongs to domestic health-care physiotherapeutic devices, and is characterized in that a shoe-shaped heating cover and rollable heating wraps with vibrators made of thermal conductive silicone can perform hot compress and massage physiotherapy on the foot, ankle, lower leg and thigh, so as to realize the functions of disease treatment and health care. The product is convenient to use and portable, can be used in bed, and improves the conditions of home care for patients, thus having better efficacy.
