A covering device includes an elongate wrapping member configured to be wrapped around and overlay an opening in an object in a wrapped condition, a substantially shell-shaped cover member for covering the wrapping member substantially in the wrapped condition, and a retaining arrangement for retaining the cover member and with it, the wrapping member in position relative the object in a covering condition.

This present patent application relates to a waterproof post-operative carpal tunnel surgery glove structured to be worn by an individual after experiencing a carpal tunnel surgery. The glove prevents a bandage and surgical stitches from getting wet for an extended period of time up to the point of the stitches being removed. The glove can be easily worn by sliding the glove over the fingers, palm, and wrist. The glove can be secured via a hook and loop fastener strap on the wrist area to conform to a wear's arm. A wearer can also adjust the fit of the glove to comfortably accommodate the hand using the hook and loop fastener strap. The glove keeps the bandage dry at all times and maximizes protection against water and cross-contamination of the bandage while hand washing, showering and the like.

An apparatus suspends a post-amputation residuum protection device for a below the knee amputation. The suspending apparatus comprises an elongated arcuate first shell defining an open interior channel. The first shell is adapted to receive at least a portion of the residuum and the residuum protection device into the interior channel. The second shell is configured to be received within the first shell and adapted to cover the residuum adjacent to the knee. The present invention relates to an apparatus that provides a barrier between a person's skin, and any vascular access device, and its components, to prevent compromising skin, and to provide comfort to a person.

The barrier band is offered in many sizes, and is made with a stretchable material, to accommodate every patient, and any body part being serviced. It is offered in both a washable and disposable version. Its design and stitching may vary, and it may or may not have an adjustable apparatus, or any other suitable component to tighten or loosen the band.

An infant umbilical cord stump protector includes a pad positionable proximal to the umbilical cord stump and a cover including fluid impermeable material over the pad. The fluid impermeable material has (i) an adhesive region that is adhereable to the infant about the umbilical cord stump, (ii) a deformable region, and (iii) a periphery about the deformable region. The deformable region has greater flexibility than the periphery in such a way that the cover can form a dome-like shape about the umbilical cord stump. The umbilical cord stump protector is used to protect the umbilical cord stump while it dries.

An elongate strap support system for anatomical support, pain reduction, or therapeutic treatment includes a package containing a first elongate strap support and at least one additional elongate strap support. In one example, the first elongate strap support includes a woven fabric support layer including synthetic fibers. The woven fabric is shaped so as to form an elongated strap with rounded portions. The woven fabric is substantially resistant to stretching in one direction under such test conditions as those specified in ASTM D3759. An example device for facilitating healing of a Cesarian section incision on a patient can include: a base configured to attach to skin of the patient, at least partially surrounding the Cesarian section incision; and a dome coupled with the base and extending over the Cesarian section incision, wherein the dome is configured to resist collapse when the device is worn under clothing.

A method for manufacturing stretch resistant plantar fascia support system is provided. The stretch resistant plantar fascia support system is adhesively applied to the foot of a patient for providing relief from plantar fasciitis. A portion of the stretch resistant plantar fascia support system is adhesively attached to the bottom surface of the foot for reducing stress on the plantar fascia.
