A wound covering device for providing non-contact wound protection. The wound covering device comprises a wound cover component shaped as a curved body, wherein the curved body does not come in contact with a wound site. The wound covering device further comprises a flexible base that absorbs any water or moisture that attempts to enter a wound area during a shower or bathing. The wound covering device may further comprise a sealing gasket in addition to the flexible base. Either the flexible base or the gasket are configured to conform to an irregular body surface providing a water-tight seal. At least one self-application securing strap may be used to secure the wound covering device to the body over a wound.

A protective film forming spray for skin surface includes a spray bottle filled with an undiluted spray solution and a propellant, the undiluted spray solution containing 2 to 40 mass % of water-soluble resin and 2 to 40 mass % of water-insoluble resin so that a total content of the water-soluble resin and the water-insoluble resin is 15 to 50 mass % and a remainder is solvent.

A medical dressing comprising a backing layer and a self-supporting substrate. The backing layers form a perimeter around the self-supporting substrate and holds the self-supporting substrate in place on a wound. The medical dressing forms a sealed environment surrounding the wound such that a negative pressure can be maintained in the sealed environment through the valve.

A bandage with a center that elevates over an open wound or desired portion of skin to be covered which forms a dome that has tiny vent holes to allow air inside. The dome allows fresh air to the wound while it is still protected from harmful bacteria, infections, virus' or disease.

Described herein are support devices, which may include medical support devices. In particular, three-dimensional medical (and non-medical) devices from a single layer of material, typically by stamping or pressing (including cold pressing) a sheet of the material to form rigid and complex 3D shapes capable of use for a variety of medical and non-medical purposes. These support devices typically also include an adhesive material allowing the device to be attached to a subject's skin and/or mounted on a surface (e.g., wall, etc.). In particular, described herein are methods of manufacturing, assembling, and using adhesive support devices.

A method of using a film-forming material for pre-treating an area of skin to reduce friction-related skin irritation, resulting in a reduced risk of acquiring skin chafing and/or blisters, such as may be caused by the wearing of shoes that abrade skin, and particularly including heels, said method comprising the steps of providing a dispensing device containing a film-forming material that includes a friction-reducing and/or friction-blocking element, and applying such film-forming material to an area of skin to reduce friction and thereby reduce the risk of acquiring chafing and/or a blister.

The adhesive article forms a sealed environment between the medical article and the surface surrounding the wound such that a negative pressure can be maintained in the sealed environment through the valve.

Embodiments of the disclosure may include a medical device for releasing a medicament. The device may include a multi-layer patch. The patch may include a base layer configured to secure the patch to a body of a user and a medicament array located adjacent the base layer. The array may include a plurality of wells configured to release a quantity of medicament from the array to the body of the user. The device may also include a cover layer located on a side of the medicament array opposite the base layer and a pump operably coupled to the patch and configured to deliver a quantity of fluid to the patch.
