Liner for orthopedic or prosthetic device
A liner for an orthopedic or prosthetic device includes a core formed from a porous and compressible material, a first layer secured to the first side of the core and forming a first surface to the liner, and a second layer secured to the second side of the core and forming a second surface to the liner. The first and second layers may comprise different properties from one another and be formed from different materials including fabrics and polymeric materials. A polymeric film may be secured to the core or to one of the layers to define at least part of a surface of the liner.
Wound closure system
A wound closure includes one or more bandages. The one or more bandages include a first bandage and a second bandage. Each of the first bandage and the second bandage include a skin attachment portion having a skin fastener for attaching the bandages to a subject. Each of the first bandage and the second bandage include a closure portion having a closure fastener for attaching the closure portions with one another. The skin fastener and closure fastener may include an adhesive. The bandages may include a leg for folding over, and attaching to, the attached closure portions to form a secured folded closure. The secured folded closure may be folded generally flat against, and secured with, one of the skin attachment portions.
EXTERNAL FIXATION DEVICE FOR ORTHOPEDICS OF FOREARM AND PALM
An external fixation device for fractured forearms and/or hands. The device includes an arm-shaped main body and a cavity. The main body includes: a forepart which corresponds to a hand of a patient, and a rear part which corresponds to a segment extending from the hand to an elbow joint of the patient. The main body includes a first edge and a second edge. The first edge of the main body is provided with a flexible cotton member, and a placket is connected to the outer side of the flexible cotton member. The second edge of the main body is provided with a plurality of elastic belts. The rear part of the main body includes an opening which is located at a position corresponding to the elbow joint of the patient and communicates with the filler cavity.
FIXATION DEVICE FOR PELVIS
A fixation device for pelvis includes a front fixation plate and a back fixation plate. The front fixation plate and the rear fixation plate are detachably connected to form a receiving space for receiving the waist, the abdomen, the hip and the thighs. The front fixation plate includes a first left-side piece and a first right-side piece. The rear fixation plate includes a second left-side piece and a second right-side piece. The first left-side piece, the first right-side piece, the second left-side piece and the second right-side piece are respectively provided with a cavity for accommodating a polyurethane slurry. When in use, the cavities are respectively injected with the polyurethane slurry, and after the polyurethane slurry solidifies, the shape of the fixation device is matched to the waist, the abdomen, the hip and the thighs to support the patient's hip and pelvis.
EXTERNAL FIXATION DEVICE FOR BODY
An external fixation device for body includes a front part and a back part and can be shaped according to the shape of human body. The front part includes a cavity, two layers of knitting cloth, and elastic belts. The back part includes a cavity, two layers of knitting cloth, and plackets. The lower end edge of the front part and the lower end edge of the back part are respectively provided with a filling port and the filling ports are both sewed with a hook and loop. An outer side of one of the elastic belts of the front part and an inner side of one of the plackets of the back part are respectively provided with a piece of a first fastener. An armhole width part of the front part and an armhole width part of the back part are respectively provided with a piece of a second fastener.
A BANDAGE SECURING DEVICE
A bandage securing device comprises a first sheet part and a second sheet part, and optionally also a third sheet part. The first and second sheet parts are connected to each other along a connection line extending in a width direction and arranged to overlap each other, thereby forming a jaw-like structure in a longitudinal direction. At least one of said first and second sheet parts, and possibly both, are provided with at least one first adherent fastening layer on an internal surface facing said overlap. Further, the bandage securing device comprises at least one second adherent fastening layer on an external surface, not facing said overlap, to detachably connect to the bandage. This second adherent fastening layer may be provided on one of the first and second sheet parts, and/or on the third sheet part.
A polymeric film may be secured to the core or one of the layers to define at least part of a surface of the liner.
COUPLEABLE WOUND CLOSURE MECHANISM AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AND USING SAME
A wound closure device comprising a first portion including a first elongated support layer, a first non-woven layer coupled to the first elongated support layer, and a first fastening member coupled to the first elongated support layer and at least partially aligned with the first non-woven layer.
USER-CUSTOMIZABLE BANDAGE
A customizable bandage includes an internal layer, a container layer containing a hardening agent and/or medicinal agent, an external layer surrounding the internal layer and the container layer, an adhesive layer disposed on a lower surface of the external layer, and a padding layer disposed on a region of the lower surface of the external layer. The hardening agent, when disseminated from the container layer, can harden the internal layer into a semi-rigid state.
