ADHESIVE MEDICAL ARTICLE HAVING FLUID MANAGEMENT PROPERTIES
The disclosed adhesive medical article has a backing layer having a first major surface and a second major surface opposite to the first major surface. The backing layer has a central portion and an outer circumferential portion. The article further has a pressure sensitive adhesive pattern coating applied onto at least part of the first major surface of the backing layer in such a way as to form a plurality of adhesive coated and adhesive uncoated areas of the backing layer. The adhesive uncoated areas comprise a central collection portion and at least one longitudinal extension radiating from the central collection portion towards the outer circumferential portion of the backing layer.
Manufacturing method for wound dressings
A wound dressing having a thin barrier layer of soft, pliant adhesive material with a flexible cover layer extending along one side of the adhesive layer and a removable release sheet on the opposite side is disclosed. The adhesive material has a center and border surrounding the center such that the adhesive is contoured. A method for making the contoured dressing using a gear pump and a laminating roller having a predetermined softness and firmness is also disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROMOTING HEALING WITH TOPICAL APPLICATION OF VIBRATION
A vibration appliance and method for providing vibration to a portion of an animal, the method including providing a pair of CR2450 batteries on opposite ends of a hot glue formed collection of switch, a vibrator motor, and connections therebetween, where one connection is a movable magnet which can be used to selectively connect batteries at opposite ends of the vibration appliance by manually moving a wire coupled at one end to the magnet and at another end to a switch between couplings with different batteries so that during storage the device has a long battery shelf life as no batteries are coupled at both terminals to electronic components.
WOUND DRESSING
Wound dressings displaying improved adhesion and breathability and methods for their manufacture, the wound dressing comprising a backing layer, a layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive and a perforated layer of silicone gel, wherein the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive is disposed between the substrate and the perforated layer of silicone gel, and wherein the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive is moisture-permeable.
RESILIENT WOUND DRESSING
The present invention relates to a resilient wound dressing and absorbent articles for a resilient wound dressing. The present invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a resilient wound dressing as well as method of manufacturing a resilient absorbent article for a wound dressing.
ADHESIVE SKIN PATCH
To provide an adhesive skin patch being allowed that a carrier layer being in close contact with a backing film layer is easily released after applying to an application site, so as to improve a handleability of the adhesive skin patch.
An adhesive skin patch product includes an adhesive skin patch; a support liner that covers an upper side of the adhesive skin patch, wherein the adhesive skin patch includes an adhesive tape in a form of an approximately strip that includes a backing film and an adhesive layer disposed on a surface of one side of the backing film, a release liner that is attached to the adhesive layer and is longer than the backing film, and a carrier film that is brought into close contact with a surface of the backing film that is opposite to a side of the adhesive layer, wherein the support liner includes a tape backing layer and a support adhesive layer disposed on a surface of the tape backing layer, and the support liner is attached to the carrier film, preferably being attached both to the carrier film and to the release liner, and wherein the carrier film includes one end portion preventing close contact with a surface of the backing film of the adhesive tape, the one end portion being released from the backing film to form a non-attached end portion.
BANDAGE
The invention relates to a bandage comprising a flat web material as a substrate, wherein a self-adhesive cohesive adhesive compound is at least partially applied to both flat sides of the substrate, and the substrate is impregnated with a liquid preparation, characterised in that said adhesive compound comprises an anhydrous cohesive pressure sensitive adhesive which contains natural and/or synthetic rubber, this natural and/or synthetic rubber being dissolved in an organic solvent for application, or the pressure sensitive adhesive being molten for application.
Wound dressing
The present invention relates to a multilayered wound dressing particularly for wound treatment in the granulation and epithelization phase. The wound dressing comprises a) a first layer as a wound contact layer having a first side and a second side, and b) at least one second layer as an absorbent layer having a first side and a second side and comprising a hydrophilic polyurethane foam, wherein the polyurethane foam comprises a water fraction of at least 10% by weight of water.
