Wound Covering Device
A wound covering device for providing non-contact wound protection. The wound covering device comprises a wound cover component shaped as a curved body, wherein the curved body does not come in contact with a wound site. The wound covering device further comprises a flexible base that absorbs any water or moisture that attempts to enter a wound area during a shower or bathing. The wound covering device may further comprise a sealing gasket in addition to the flexible base. Either the flexible base or the gasket are configured to conform to an irregular body surface providing a water-tight seal. At least one self-application securing strap may be used to secure the wound covering device to the body over a wound.
CONDENSATE ABSORBING AND DISSIPATING SYSTEM
A dressing for treating a tissue site may include a base layer, a sealing member, a first and a second wicking layer, and an absorbent layer. The base layer may have a plurality of apertures and may be adapted to cover the tissue site. The sealing member and the base layer may define an enclosure. The first and the second wicking layer may each be disposed in the enclosure with the absorbent layer positioned between the first and the second wicking layer. A conduit comprised of an absorbent material that is vapor permeable and liquid impermeable may be in fluid communication with the dressing for providing reduced pressure to the dressing. Other dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed.
Dressing with differentially sized perforations
A dressing for treating a tissue site may include a base layer, a sealing member, a first and a second wicking layer, and an absorbent layer. The base layer may have a periphery surrounding a central portion and a plurality of apertures disposed through the periphery and the central portion. The apertures in the periphery may be larger than the apertures in the central portion. The sealing member and the base layer may define an enclosure. The first and the second wicking layer may each be disposed in the enclosure with the absorbent layer positioned between the first and the second wicking layer. Other dressings, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Adhesion Materials and Methods of Manufacture
The present invention consists in a new type of adhesion material and the method of production. This material is used in the medical area, or in areas where is necessary to connect a device to the skin. This connection occurred due to the polarity that exists in the two materials, more concrete through the electric bounds, in more specific the bound obtained is a hydrogen bound that is produced when the two materials are connected. The adhesion material comprises polyethylene glycol, citric acid, ascorbic acid, one or more sugars or sugar alcohol, glycerol as well as a lauric acid and/or oleic acid mixture with polypropylene grafted with maleic anhydride or Polyethylene grafted with maleic anhydride or poly (ethylene-alt-maleic anhydride) or polystyrene-block-poly(ethylene-ran-butylene)-block-polystyrene-graft-maleic anhydride or polyisoprene-graft-maleic anhydride or poly(methyl vinyl ether-alt-maleic anhydride) or poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) or poly(maleic anhydride-alt-1-octadecene) or poly(ethylene glycol)methyl ether methacrylate solution.

Wound dressing
A wound dressing having a perforated material including through-holes. The perforated material having a first and second face. A low adhesive resin coating at least the first face of the perforated material without closing the through holes. The perforated material is a knitted fabric or a woven fabric formed of a multifilament. The perforated material has an average opening area of the through-holes of 0.02 to 1.2 mm.sup.2 and an average number of through-holes of 40 to 220 cm.sup.2.
Choking proof peel resistant adhesive bandages placed on babies after blood tests or vaccinations
An adhesive bandage is provided which has at least four arms instead of standard two where two of which being of a different length than other two to resist its removal from skin by a baby. The adhesive bandage includes a first and a second bandage arms and a third and a fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are transverse to the third and fourth bandage arms. The first and second bandage arms are longer in length to the third and fourth bandage arms. The adhesive bandage further includes a medicated pad at an intersection of the first and second bandage arms and the third and fourth bandage arms. In one embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a clip such that the adhesive strip is looped through the clip. In another embodiment, the new bandage includes an adhesive strip and a Velcro strap such that the adhesive strip is looped through the Velcro strap.
POST-OPERATIVE SURGICAL WOUND DRESSING
Described herein is a wound dressing comprising: a composite island configured to collectively exhibit substantially elastic recovery under wound treatment conditions and comprising a foam layer and an absorbent layer coupled to the foam layer, the foam layer exhibiting substantially elastic recovery under wound treatment conditions and the absorbent layer not exhibiting substantially elastic recovery under wound treatment conditions; a backing layer having a margin that extends beyond the composite island; and an adherent layer disposed on at least the margin of the backing layer. In addition, described herein is a method of eliminating, minimizing, or reducing edema for a wound surrounded by tissue, by positioning the wound dressing over the wound, optionally such that at least a portion of the adherent layer contacts the tissue.
