Tampon assembly having a shaped pledget
A tampon assembly having a barrel, a plunger, and a pledget is provided. The plunger is slidably received in the barrel. The pledget is in the barrel between the insertion tip and the plunger so that a force applied on the plunger can expel the pledget from the barrel. The barrel has a plurality of petals defining an insertion tip, which has a first taper ratio of more than about 0.3 to less than 1.0. The pledget has a shaped tip that is disposed in the insertion tip.
Adult disposable absorbent articles and arrays comprising improved product lengths
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Array Average Length Difference of at least the first and second absorbent articles in the array is less than about 65 mm and greater than about negative 10 mm. In another embodiment, a disposable absorbent article may have a Product Length is within about +/−40 mm of the Target Rise.
Waist-to-side silhouettes of adult disposable absorbent articles and arrays
In one embodiment, an array of packages may comprise two or more different sizes of disposable absorbent articles. The Product Waist-to-Side Silhouette of a second absorbent article may be equal to or greater than a Product Waist-to-Side Silhouette of a first absorbent article. And, an Array Average Product Waist-to-Side Silhouette of first and second packages of the array may be from about 1.7 to about 6.0.
PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Disclosed is a pant type absorbent article having a back elastic belt comprising a waist guard portion extending towards the crotch region from a closed base line towards an open edge, wherein the waist guard portion is formed by a first inner waist fold extending from a second inner waist fold, the second inner waist fold extending from the inner sheet, and a first elastic member bonded between the first inner waist fold and the second inner waist fold, wherein the waist guard portion is partially bonded to the remainder of the elastic belt from which the first and second inner waist folds extend to define a pocket.
Pant structure with efficiently manufactured and aesthetically pleasing rear leg profile
A disposable absorbent pant having a front belt portion and a rear belt portion is disclosed. The front and rear belt portions are joined at side seams and the rear belt portion has a greater length than the front belt portion. A lower edge of the rear belt portion forms at least in part edges of left and right leg openings to the rear of the side seams. The rear belt portion includes first and second layers of nonwoven web material sandwiching a plurality of laterally extending and laterally pre-strained elastic strands, disposed below the side seams. A first of the plurality of elastic strands differs from a second of the plurality of elastic strands by one or more of amount of pre-strain, tensile modulus, decitex, and combinations thereof.
ANTIODOR AND ANTIMICROBIAL LAYERS IN ABSORBENT MATERIALS
An AM/AV material, comprising a topsheet layer comprising fibers comprising a topsheet polymer composition, a backsheet layer comprising fibers comprising a backsheet polymer composition; and an absorbent core configured therebetween, wherein the fibers of at least one of the layers, e.g., the topsheet layer, comprise an AM/AV compound, and wherein the fibers of the topsheet layer demonstrate a rewet value less than 5 g after a first water application and/or a Staph aureus efficacy log reduction greater than 2.6, as measured in accordance with ISO 20743:2013.
ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING MENSTRUAL FLUID WITHIN THE VAGINA
The present invention relates to sanitary protection article that is structured and arranged to maintain menstrual fluid within the vagina and thereby prevent the menstrual fluid from escaping the body. The present invention also relates to a method of selectively maintaining menstrual fluid within the vagina by means of using such article.
INCONTINENCE PAD WITH VARYING THICKNESS PROFILE
A urine incontinence pad has an absorbent core having a first core layer and a fluid control layer. The absorbent core has a varying thickness profile as seen in the longitudinal direction, with the intermediate portion having a first thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a first compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa. The rear and front portions each have a second thickness under a load of 0.5 kPa and a second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa, wherein the second thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first thickness, the second compressed thickness is from 37% to 15% of the first compressed thickness and a ratio between the first and the second compressed thickness under a load of 2.5 kPa is equal or greater than a ratio between the first and the second thickness, under a load of 0.5 kPa.
