Device for assessing need to replace absorbent member
This replacement necessity assessment apparatus for an absorbent member includes: a power generator which is configured to generate power as a result of contact with liquid absorbed in the absorbent member, and of which power generation amount changes in accordance with an amount of the liquid; a signal output unit configured to output a detection signal according to the power generation amount; and a processing unit configured to acquire a parameter regarding the amount of the liquid based on the detection signal, the processing unit configured to determine, based on the parameter, whether or not replacement of the absorbent member is necessary.
Urine indication pad with inbuilt diagnostics for training and indication of potential disease
A training pad system for house training of a pet or toilet training of a juvenile human, includes a training pad with one or more diagnostic zones, each comprising one or more diagnostic test areas, optionally a pad cutout that matches a shape of a lower portion of a toilet, a urine indicator composition for visually indicating exposure to urine with a signal color, a liquid absorbing material, an antimicrobial agent, and adhesive surfaces; and a diagnostic decoding chart to interpret diagnostic results by lookup of corresponding test decoding areas.
Absorbent article having a folded waist
An article including a front region, a back region, and a chassis. The chassis may include an absorbent core having a front end edge and a back end edge. The front region and the back region may extend laterally outward beyond side edges of the chassis. The front region and the back region may abut to form a first seam and a second seam. At least one of the front region and the back region may include an elastic member. A first outer nonwoven layer of the front region and a second outer nonwoven layer of the back region may be folded to form an upper edge in the front and back regions such that a distal end of each of the first and second outer nonwoven layer may be disposed between the upper edge and the front and back end edges of the absorbent core, respectively.
Pull-on wearable article with informational image
A pull-on wearable article includes a main portion including an outer cover, the main portion defining a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region extending between and connecting the front and rear waist regions. First and second extendable side panels extend between and connect the main portion front waist region and the main portion rear waist region to form the article in a closed waist configuration, at least a portion of each side panel being extendable between a relaxed state and an extended state. The article defines first and second side regions, each side region including one of the first and second side panels and a transverse region of the main portion bordering the respective side panel. An informational image is disposed in at least the first side region. The article may further include a texture feature formed in an outer surface of the article and positioned proximate to the informational image to form a composite image. Alternatively or additionally, the image includes a cognitively functional graphic.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PREDICTING EXCRETION BY A DIAPER WEARER
Excretion by a diaper wearer in a diaper is predicted by providing in or on the diaper on the wearer an excretion detector capable of detecting excretion by the diaper wearer and a motion sensor capable of detecting movements of the diaper wearer. The sensor continuously detects and at least temporarily records movements of the diaper wearer, and these detected movements are analyzed to determine movement patterns. Then, on detection of excretion by the detector, a movement pattern immediately preceding the detection of excretion is stored or flagged as a critical movement pattern. Thereafter each time movements matching the critical movement pattern are detected, a signal is sent to a user.
Urinary incontinence treatment device
The present invention provides a nocturnal enuresis treatment device 1 including a sensor 10 for detecting urination; one or more stimulation pads 20 constituted to impart a stimulus to a wearer; and a mechanical portion 30 including the following: (i) a stimulus generation unit 31 for generating a signal for causing the stimulation pads 20 to impart the stimulus to the wearer, and (ii) a control unit 32 for generating a signal for causing the stimulus generation unit 31 to generate the stimulus in response to urination detection by the sensor.
Pull-on wearable article with informational image
A pull-on wearable article includes a main portion including an outer cover, the main portion defining a front waist region, a rear waist region, and a crotch region extending between and connecting the front and rear waist regions. First and second extendable side regions extend between and connect the main portion front waist region and the main portion rear waist region to form the article in a closed waist configuration, at least a portion of each side regions being extendable between a relaxed state and an extended state. An informational image is disposed in at least the first side region. The article may further include a texture feature formed in an outer surface of the article and positioned proximate to the informational image to form a composite image. Alternatively or additionally, the image includes a cognitively functional graphic.
Absorbent article having a wetness indicator
An absorbent article having an outer cover with an interior surface and an opposite exterior surface, an absorbent core positioned adjacent the interior surface of the outer cover, and a wetness indicator graphic located on the outer cover. The wetness indicator graphic has a permanent graphic defining at least one non-printed area and a changing graphic located within the at least one non-printed area of the permanent graphic such that the permanent graphic and the changing graphic together give the appearance of a uniform graphic.
