Absorbent Hygienic Article Having an Integrated Drainage Mechanism
The present disclosure provides a hygienic article comprising a multi-layered absorbent pad having a built-in drainage mechanism in the form of a plastic tube that is affixed between two layers of the pad. The portion of the tubing that rests in the pad has a plurality of inlets for capturing excess fluid that accumulates between the layers, funnelling it into the tubing. The other end of the tubing extends out and ends in a connector element that allows it to form a watertight seal with a suction apparatus such as an aspirator. Once the pad is soiled the pad may simply be exchanged for another one which is affixed to the end of the tubing with the fluid inlets.
Minor urinary discharge capture (incontinence) device
A product for mitigating the ill-effects of post-coital discharge, post-medical-procedure discharge, and post-urination discharge in men. A sleeve-like pouch includes an inside and an outside, with a top layer disposed on the inside of the sleeve-like pouch, and a bottom layer disposed on the outside of the sleeve-like pouch. An absorbent layer is disposed between the top layer and bottom layer. The sleeve-like pouch is configured to be slid onto and securely surround a male appendage.
FLUID COLLECTION ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A TUBE HAVING POROUS WICKING MATERIAL FOR IMPROVED FLUID TRANSPORT
An example fluid collection assembly includes a fluid impermeable barrier at least defining a chamber, at least one opening, and a fluid outlet. The fluid collection assembly further includes at least one porous material disposed in the chamber and a tube in fluid communication with the fluid outlet, the tube including a hydrophilic material exhibiting a porous structure configured to wick fluid from the chamber without the assistance of a pump.
