EMBOSSED ABSORBENT SYSTEMS AND ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCLUDING THE SAME
An absorbent system including an absorbent core with at least one material free zone, at least one central longitudinal extending deep embossed channel, and at least two longitudinal extending deep embossed channels positioned between the material free zone and lateral edges of the absorbent system.
ABSORBENT SYSTEMS AND ABSORBENT ARTICLES INCLUDING THE SAME
Absorbent systems having absorbent cores and acquisition distribution layers, where the absorbent cores have material free zones.
Absorbent articles forming a three-dimensional basin
An absorbent article such as a diaper comprises a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The absorbent layer comprises at least a longitudinally-extending central portion, and a first and second side portions disposed transversally outward of the central portion. The absorbent core further comprises first and second folding guides between the central portion and the side portions. Each side portion comprises a plurality of winglets, each winglet having a proximal side relative to a folding guide and extending outward from this proximal side, and wherein neighboring winglets are separated by a gap between their neighboring sides. The central portion and the side portions form a three-dimensional basin when the absorbent core is folded along the folding guides. The article further may comprise at least one liquid management layer substantially free of superabsorbent polymer between the topsheet and the absorbent core. The absorbent core may be substantially free of cellulose fibers.
Male Incontinence Device
This male incontinence device provides a water-proof sleeve into which the penis is inserted. This sleeve contains an inner permeable membrane covering an absorbent micro-fiber material to collect excreted urine. The sleeve is long enough to collect between 7 and 16 fl. oz. of urine before needing to be removed and discarded. Because of its size and shape, the profile of the sleeve while being worn appears natural.
Absorbent personal care articles having longitudinally oriented layers in discrete portions
An absorbent article is provided. The article includes at least one additional layer non-integral with the absorbent layer, and positioned upon the absorbent layer. The additional layer includes at least first and second discrete portions positioned along the longitudinal direction. The at least first and second discrete portions are spaced apart from each other along the longitudinal direction. The portions are constructed of the same base sheet material and the first portion at least partially defines an opening therein with an opening inner edge. The second portion is of a shape mated to fit along its periphery edge, at least partially within the opening. The second portion is of a shape complementary with the opening shape. Edges of the first and second portion are complementary, the inner edge of the first portion being complementary with the periphery edge of the second portion.
