The absorbent articles may comprise a pair of leg cuffs and a fully removable fastening member. The fastening member may comprise a first fastener on a first surface of the fastening member and positioned proximate to a first end and a second fastener on the first surface and positioned proximate to a second end. DETECTING DEVICE FOR DETECTING A STATE OF A DIAPER, DIAPER ACCOMMODATING THE DETECTING DEVICE

A device for detecting a state of a diaper includes a sensor unit with a conducting unit including at least two electrodes. The electrodes are configured to detect electrical parameters of their environment. A coupling portion is disposed on at least one end side of the conducting unit and is connectable to a measuring device. The conducting unit is attached to a carrier layer. The measuring device comprises an input portion being connectable to the sensor unit, and a processor configured to receive signals corresponding to values of the electrical parameters detected by the sensor unit and to process said signals. A power control means is configured to control electrical power supplied from a power supply, and a determination means is configured to determine whether a state of a diaper has changed. A transmitting means is configured to transmit information regarding the determined state change to a receiving means.

Disclosed is a wearable article continuous in a longitudinal direction and a transverse direction comprising a body-facing surface and a garment-facing surface; wherein at least a portion of the garment-facing surface is a nonwoven substrate material made of fibers having a Roughness (standard deviation of the grayscale image) of at least about 16, preferably at least about 18, more preferably at least about 20; and a fiber diameter of no more than about 22 μm, preferably no more than about 17 μm, more preferably no more than about 15 μm, according to the measurements herein.

A body-contoured, T-shaped pad is designed to treat trauma to the perineal region of a new mother or other patient. The pad design may include specially designed T-shaped pad portions, an integrated ice pack, and relative positioning of the layers which combine to provide both cooling properties and proper absorption. For example, the pad includes an absorptive layer next to the skin, with an ice bag next to the absorptive layer which is designed to accept ice chips from commonly available ice machines found in hospital settings. The size and configuration of the pad assembly is designed for comfort, mobility, and compatibility with a patient's own undergarments. This design provides a cost-effective, single pad assembly which combines infection control with proper absorbency, provides high levels of patient comfort, and protects the dignity of the patient.

The top layer can be oriented as the upper most layer and is the layer that comes in contact with the wearer of the liner. The absorption layer is oriented between the top layer and the bottom layer. The garment adhesive layer can comprise a coupling surface and an adhesion surface. The coupling surface opposes adhesion surface. The undergarment liner also comprises a first perforation line that extends through each layer and subdivides the undergarment liner into a plurality of subsections.

Absorbent articles with front and rear opening features are disclosed. An article may comprise an insert comprising an outer cover, a liner, and a core between the outer cover and liner, a first waist panel coupled to the insert throughout a first attachment region, and a second waist panel coupled to the insert throughout a second attachment region, the second panel being coupled to the first panel proximate a first side edge of the article and the second side edge of the article and further comprising a weakened region. The second attachment may comprise a low-strength attachment zone and a high-strength attachment zone, the high-strength attachment zone disposed proximate the attachment region bottom edge. The low-strength attachment zone may further have a first peel strength and the high-strength attachment zone may have a second peel strength, the second peel strength greater than the first.
