HYGIENE ARTICLE COMPRISING SKIN PROTECTION SHEET AND ABSORBENT CORE WITH WELL POSITIONED OPENINGS
The present invention relates to the field of hygiene appliances, in particular to hygiene articles comprising a means for reducing soiling of the skin of a wearer by body exudates such as faeces, urine, or menses. In particular, it relates to an article with a Skin Protection Sheet (SPS) that comprises a rear opening in registry with the anus during use, and a front opening in registry with a body exudate releasing body opening or genital organ. The openings are urged to the body by a pull means, whilst being spread open cross-directionally, allowing exudates to pass through. Such a hygiene article may suitably be a baby or adult diaper or pant, a training pant, or a menstrual pant.
Absorbent article with absorbent core
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The article also includes a waist feature joined to the chassis a waist region and having a portion extending longitudinally outboard of the chassis in said waist region. The backsheet has a barrier layer having a maximum length, L.sub.BS. The absorbent core has absorbent material and a maximum length, L.sub.CW, and wherein L.sub.CW is substantially the same as L.sub.BS. The absorbent material is disposed in an absorbent material deposition area. The absorbent material deposition area has a maximum length, L.sub.AB, wherein L.sub.AB is about 90% or greater of L.sub.BS. The first absorbent area lateral edge is disposed a longitudinal distance, D1, from the first barrier lateral edge, wherein D1 is 5% or less of L.sub.BS.
Configurable absorbent articles having improved bodily exudate separation and sampling
Configurable absorbent articles with improved bodily exudate separation and sampling are provided.
DIAPER ADAPTED FOR COLLECTION OF UNCONTAMINATED AND INTACT STOOL SAMPLE FROM AN INFANT
A diaper configured for collection of a stool sample for an infant, and an associated method for collection, are disclosed. The diaper may include a backsheet including an effectively urine- and feces-impermeable material; a transverse perineal barrier including an effectively urine- and feces-impermeable material and having a proximal portion overlying the backsheet and sealingly connected to the diaper, and a free distal edge; and a liquid control structure disposed over the backsheet. The diaper may include additional features configured to receive a discharge of urine, isolate fecal material from urine, and facilitate collection of an intact stool sample following elimination.
DIAPER PRODUCT ADAPTED FOR COLLECTION OF EXUDATE SAMPLE FROM AN INFANT
Diapers adapted for use in the collection of stool samples from infants are disclosed. Such diapers may include a backsheet comprising an effectively liquid impermeable material, a liquid control structure disposed over the backsheet, and a pass-through port disposed at least partially in the rear portion of the diaper. The diaper may include other features adapted to contain exudates, isolate urine from fecal material following discharge, avoid absorption of liquid components of fecal material and enhance likelihood of collecting a fecal sample that is sufficiently representative of its composition immediately following discharge.
Absorbent article with pocket dividing front and rear regions
Absorbent articles of the present disclosure may be constructed with a secondary liner sheet placed on top of a body facing liner of the articles configured to form a pocket. The pocket provides a barrier, thereby separating a front region of the absorbent articles from a rear region. In this manner, the absorbent articles of the present disclosure may reduce the spread of bodily exudates throughout the articles. The reduced spreading of exudates may help to keep skin healthy by reducing the amount of skin exposed to the skin irritants within the exudates and/or by preventing additional skin irritants from being created by preventing the mixing of BM and urine, at least in proximity to the skin of the wearer.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH ABSORBENT CORE
An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a chassis having a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core. The article also includes a waist feature having a portion extending longitudinally outboard of the chassis in the waist region. The backsheet includes a barrier layer having a maximum length, L.sub.BS. The absorbent core has absorbent material and a maximum length, L.sub.CW. L.sub.CW is substantially the same as L.sub.BS. The absorbent material is disposed in an absorbent material deposition area. The absorbent material deposition area has a maximum length, L.sub.AB, and L.sub.AB is about 90% or greater of L.sub.BS. The first absorbent area lateral edge is disposed a longitudinal distance, D1, from the first barrier lateral edge, and D1 is about 5% or less of L.sub.BS.
DIAPER SET EQUIPPED WITH EXCRETA INDUCING SEAT
The present invention relates to a diaper set including: a diaper cover; a flap separation type diaper disposed on top of the diaper cover and having a feces bag; and a ‘’-shaped excreta inducing seat disposed on the rear end of the feces bag of the flap separation type diaper, wherein the diaper cover is separated into a waist belt part and a diaper base part, the flap separation type diaper includes a seat accommodation bag disposed on the rear end of the feces bag, and the ‘
’-shaped excreta inducing seat has an inclined surface slant upward and backward from the rear end of the underside thereof.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH SYSTEM FOR AGGREGATING AND ISOLATING FECES
Disclosed is an absorbent article absorbing and housing human excrements and urine, the absorbent article being wearable by an incontinent subject and adapted to absorb urine. The absorbent article includes, in its structure at the height of its central portion, a composition with variable grain size with clay and thickening polymer base, the composition compacting and neutralizing the bacterial action of feces, the absorbent article also having a tray-like housing adapted to house feces, the composition able to found on the internal surfaces of the housing and being coated with a suitable film of biocompatible material capable of being dissolved in contact with feces at the inlet into the housing, the composition compacting and neutralizing the feces present in the housing, the latter also being provided with a closure system with superimposed tabs which allows the entrance of the feces via gravity within the housing.
