ABSORBENT ARTICLES COMPRISING GARMENT-FACING LAMINATES
An absorbent article is provided. The absorbent article comprises a liquid permeable topsheet on a wearer-facing side of the absorbent article and a garment-facing laminate on a garment-facing side of the absorbent article. The garment-facing laminate comprises a first nonwoven layer and a second layer joined to the first nonwoven layer. The first nonwoven layer comprises a plurality of apertures. At least 3 of the plurality of apertures in a repeat unit have a different Effective Aperture Area, according to the Aperture Test herein, a different shape, or a different Absolute Feret Angle, according to the Aperture Test herein. The absorbent article comprises an absorbent core disposed at least partially intermediate the liquid permeable topsheet and the garment-facing laminate.
Absorbent articles with color effects
Disposable absorbent articles having color effects and materials thereof are disclosed. Disposable absorbent articles include a topsheet; a backsheet; an absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet; and a layer between the absorbent core and the topsheet. The topsheet has a generally planar first surface having a plurality of out-of-plane features and a first color. The layer has a second color. And, the plurality of out-of-plane features have a feature color different than the first color and the second color.
Shaped nonwovens that exhibit high visual resolution
A nonwoven fabric is disclosed. The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and at least a first visually discernible zone of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, and the first visually discernible zone can exhibit a high visual resolution.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH LAMINATE BOND PATTERN
An absorbent article including a first waist region, a second waist region, and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions. The absorbent article also includes a chassis having a topsheet, backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. An elastic laminate may be joined to the chassis in one of the first or second waist regions. The elastic laminate includes an ultrasonically bonded laminate having a bond pattern. The bond pattern includes a plurality of repeating units and, each repeating unit includes a closed cell unit. The bonds in the bond pattern include a Bond Separation Distance of about 3.5 mm or less.
Patterned apertured webs
A patterned apertured web is disclosed. The patterned apertured web includes a plurality of land areas in the patterned apertured web and a plurality of apertures defined in the patterned apertured web. At least some land areas of the plurality of land areas surround at least some apertures of the plurality of apertures. The patterned apertured web has an Effective Open Area in the range of about 3% to about 30%, according to the Aperture Test herein. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape. The first shape is positioned within the second shape.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED STRUCTURAL FUNCTIONALITY COMMUNICATION
The present invention relates to absorbent articles (1) and arrays (10) of absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, incontinence pads, baby or adult diapers or pants, comprising a body facing surface (20), a garment facing surface (12) and an absorbent core (4) between the body facing surface (20) and the garment facing surface (12). The body facing surface (20) comprises at least one central region (2) comprising a first plurality of discrete elements (5a) viewable from the body facing surface (20) and two flanking regions (3a, 3b) comprising a second plurality of discrete elements (6a) viewable from the body facing surface (20). They are characterised in that the average perimeter of the elements from the central region is smaller than the average perimeter of the elements within the flanking regions. This may allow absorbent articles to have an improved structural functionality communication and an improved visual experience for the user.
Underpants-type disposable diaper with seepage-minimizing display sheet structure
An underpants-type disposable diaper has outer members that separately or integrally configures a front body and a back body. An inner member is attached to the outer members from the front body to the back body. The outer members have a waist extended section that extends to a side of the waist opening of an edge of the inner member on a waist side. The underpants-type disposable diaper further has a display sheet containing a liquid impervious resin film on an outer side of the inner member in a region in which the outer members and the inner member overlap with each other in at least one of the front body and the back body, in which the display sheet extends from a region overlapping the inner member into the waist extended section.
The patterned apertured web has a plurality of Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances have a distribution having a median and a mean. The plurality of apertures include a first set of apertures defining a first shape and a second set of apertures defining a second shape.
