ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A pant type disposable absorbent product comprising a front body panel, a back body panel positioned at a distance from said front body panel, and an absorbent member; said absorbent product having a longitudinal central axis X-X and a transverse central axis Y-Y; said front body panel being substantially rectangular, and having a waist edge, two side edges, and an inward edge comprising a crotch edge, and leg opening edges on each side of the crotch edge, between the crotch edge and each side edge, said front body panel being at least partially elasticized, said back body panel having a waist edge, two side edges, a crotch edge, and leg opening edges on each side of the crotch edge, between the crotch edge and each side edge, wherein a distance from the crotch edge to the waist edge is greater than the length of the side edges.
ABSORBENT FIBROUS WEB
The present disclosure relates to an absorbent fibrous web, in which the fibres are constituted by cellulosic fibres including cellulosic staple fibres and cellulose pulp fibres and the absorbent fibrous web is a foam-formed hydro-entangled fibrous web. The present disclosure further relates to a method of manufacturing such an absorbent fibrous web.
Lined pad hybrid
The sanitary napkin has a semisolid (flexible) structure affixed along the center base of it. The semisolid flexible structure is an elongated form of matter that goes along the base of the sanitary napkin. Surrounding the affixed center base semisolid structure is material that is not semisolid or solid, but soft and consistent with the rest of the sanitary napkin.
Absorbent structure comprising release structure
An absorbent article comprising a liquid pervious topsheet, a liquid impervious backsheet, and an absorbent structure positioned in between said topsheet and said backsheet, wherein the absorbent structure comprises an absorbent core positioned in between the topsheet and the backsheet, a release structure being positioned in fluid communication with the absorbent core, said absorbent core comprising little to no cellulose fibers and/or fluff pulp and said absorbent core comprising an absorbent polymer material for absorbing and permanently holding fluids received from the topsheet and the release structure, wherein said release structure comprises at least one fibrous substrate structure having the capacity to receive and temporarily hold the fluids in proximity to the absorbent core so that the fluids can subsequently be transferred and released to and absorbed by the absorbent core.
TAMPON WITH WICKING MEMBER ADAPTED FOR IMPROVED MANUFACTURABILITY AND WICKING PERFORMANCE
The disclosed tampon may include a pledget having a rearward end; a wicking member having a trailing portion trailing the rearward end and having a rearward edge; and a withdrawal cord with an attached portion attached to the pledget and a free portion trailing the rearward edge. In an opened condition the pledget has a pair of side edges and a pledget width, and includes fibrous absorbent material and an outer cover of a first section of nonwoven web at least partially covering the absorbent material, the trailing portion of the wicking member including at least four layers of nonwoven web, at least one of which is an extension of the first section of nonwoven web. The wicking member may have a width substantially equal to the pledget width; and the trailing portion may have a length of at least about 10 mm and no greater than about 60 mm.
Sanitary protective panels
A sanitary protective napkin has a backing panel having an overall length, a width and a thickness, in a first shape having an outer periphery, an absorbent pad joined to the backing panel by a first adhesive on one side of the backing panel, the absorbent pad having a second shape, leaving a region of a common width around the outer periphery of the backing panel, and a second adhesive compatible with human skin applied to the region of common width around the periphery of the backing panel on the same side of the backing panel as the absorbent pad, enabling a user to apply the sanitary napkin with no undergarment or other device for anchoring the sanitary napkin.
ARRAY OF DISPOSABLE INSERTS FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES
The present disclosure relates to an array of disposable inserts (25,26) for an absorbent assembly (1), the array comprising: a first package comprising a plurality of first inserts (25) for an absorbent assembly (1), configured to be arranged on or at least partially within an outer shell (2); a second package comprising a plurality of second inserts (26) for absorbent assembly (1), configured to be arranged on or at least partially within an outer shell (2); each first and second insert (25,26) comprising a topsheet (8), a backsheet (9) and an absorbent core (10) comprising absorbent material (23) arranged in between the topsheet (8) and backsheet (9);
the first insert (25) comprising a first absorbency as measured by method and the second insert (26) comprising a second absorbency as measured by method; wherein, the first absorbency is greater than the second absorbency. The disclosure also pertains to an absorbent assembly (1) and to an array of absorbent assemblies (1).
VAGINAL DETECTION METHODS AND KITS USING A TAMPON
The present invention relates to methods of obtaining a biological sample from the vagina and detecting various conditions (e.g., detecting a sexually transmitted infection, determining the composition of the vaginal microbiome, and detecting dysbiosis) using a tampon. The present invention also relates to kits containing a tampon for use in such methods.
WATER-ABSORBING COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
An absorbent composition containing cellulose nanofibers and a cellulose derivative and a method for making the same are disclosed. The cellulose derivative has a viscosity of 1000 mPa.Math.s or higher in a 1 mass % aqueous solution at 25° C. and a degree of etherification of less than 0.9. The cellulose derivative is preferably at least one member selected from the group consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose, carboxyethyl cellulose, a carboxymethyl cellulose salt, and a carboxyethyl cellulose salt, more preferably a carboxymethyl cellulose salt, even more preferably sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
Disposable absorbent article with unitary topsheet and unitary absorbent article
The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.
