A nonwoven fabric structure for absorbent articles comprising a first layer, a second layer and superabsorbent particles, said first layer comprising endless filaments, —which comprise at least a first polymeric material (A) and a second polymeric material (B) having its melting point lower than the first polymeric material (A), —wherein the second polymeric material (B) extends in the longitudinal direction of the filament and forms at least a part of the surface of the filament and—the first layer contains filament-to-filament bonds formed of the second polymeric material (B), —void volume between the filaments of the first layer forms at least 65% of the volume of the first layer, the second layer comprising endless filaments, wherein the superabsorbent particles are arranged at least between the first layer and the second layer and within some of the voids of the first layer and/or the second layer.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE COMPRISING A LOWER ACQUISITION AND DISTRIBUTION LAYER

An absorbent article comprising a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet, an absorbent material between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent material comprising a superabsorbent polymer optionally mixed with cellulose fibers. The absorbent article comprises a lower acquisition and distribution layer disposed between the absorbent material and the backsheet, wherein the lower acquisition and distribution layer has a Strike-In below 10 seconds, as measured by the Strike-In test described herein, and a Median Desorption Pressure of less than 20 cmH2O, as measured by the Capillary Sorption Test Method.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH A CHANNEL-FORMING AREA AND A MASKING LAYER

An absorbent article comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a backsheet, an absorbent core comprising an absorbent material and a core wrap is provided. The core comprises at least one channel-forming area that is substantially free of absorbent material. The absorbent article comprises a masking layer between the bottom side of the core wrap and the backsheet. The masking layer and the bottom side of the core wrap are only partially bonded to each other at their interface, the interface thus comprising a bonded portion and an unbonded portion, wherein the channel-forming area at least partially corresponds to the unbonded portion of the interface, so that when the absorbent material swells, the masking layer can decouple from the three-dimensional channels.

ABSORBENT LAYERS SUITABLE FOR USE IN ABSORBENT ARTICLES AND METHODS FOR MAKING SAME

Provided are absorbent layers and articles, and methods for making absorbent layers and articles. The absorbent layer is suitable for use in an absorbent article and may include a nonwoven that includes bicomponent fibers and superabsorbent polymer material interconnected within the nonwoven. The absorbent layer according to different embodiment may include a three-dimensional random loop material with superabsorbent polymer material adhered to the three-dimensional random loop material. Absorbent articles may comprise the absorbent layer according to embodiments of the present disclosure. The method for making the absorbent layer includes providing a nonwoven and dosing the nonwoven with superabsorbent polymer material.
