A diaper, such as a baby diaper or incontinence diaper, consisting of at least one outer shell (10) and having an absorbent body connected to the shell (10), is characterized in that the absorbent body can be separated from the shell by means of a mechanical fastener system acting between the outer shell (10) and the absorbent body.

LEAKPROOF PERIOD PANTIES FOR WEAR AT HOME AND DURING SLEEP
20220313501 · 2022-10-06 ·

Leakproof period panties for wear at home and during sleep include an outer layer. A leakproof structural layer is sewn on the inner side of the outer layer at the position of the crotch. The leakproof structural layer includes a lining layer. The top edge of the lining layer is sewn into the outer layer. A leakproof layer is sewn on the outer surface of the lining layer. An absorption layer is sewn on the bottom of the leakproof layer at the position of the crotch. The outer layer and the leakproof structural layer of the panties are combined to mimic a fake two-piece style. With the leakproof structural layer including a combination of a comfortable lining layer, an absorption layer for absorbing menstrual flow, and a leakproof layer for preventing seepage and lateral leakage, the period panties can serve as homewear or outerwear, while having an aesthetically attractive appearance.

Multi-Layer Wound Care Device Having Absorption and Fluid Transfer Properties

This disclosure relates to a multi-layer wound care device having absorption and fluid transfer properties. The wound care device contains capillary force one-way pumps that are capable of transporting fluid, such as wound exudate, away from a wound site to the opposite side of the wound care device, which functions as a segregated fluid reservoir. This fluid transport mechanism generally aids in reducing wound maceration by removing excess wound fluid and the protease enzymes and infectious bacteria contained within the wound fluid. The wound care device performs this function, often times for multiple days, without the loss of the physical integrity of the wound care device. In addition to providing a uni-directional fluid transport mechanism, the wound care device provides improved absorption properties.

Absorbent Composites

Absorbent composite are provided that include a nonwoven top layer having hydrophilic fibers and an absorbent core directly or indirectly attached to the nonwoven top layer, the absorbent core comprising a plurality of layers including (i) at least one physically entangled nonwoven layer, and (ii) at least one bonded carded nonwoven layer and/or at least one thermal bonded high-loft nonwoven layer, in which the absorbent composite includes (i) a composite-rate of absorption of less than 8 seconds for a 5 ml liquid sample as determined by D824-94, and (ii) a composite-run-off value of less than 15% as determined by ISO 9073-11. The absorbent composites may include an optional film layer attached to the absorbent core layer.

Absorbent articles with indicia and/or color

An absorbent article is disclosed, including a three-dimensional material formed of a liquid permeable topsheet and an acquisition material. The acquisition material is positioned beneath the topsheet, and both may be formed of nonwoven material. The three dimensional material may have two surfaces and a plurality of protrusions extending in a z-direction from one of the surfaces, each protrusion having side walls defining an opening in the other of the surfaces. One of the topsheet and the acquisition material may include fibers spun of polymer resin pigmented with a first color that differs from a second color of fibers of the other of the topsheet and the acquisition material, and the differing colors are visible when viewing a wearer-facing surface of the absorbent article.

Process for making an absorbent article comprising a topsheet/acquisition layer laminate

A process of making an absorbent article is disclosed. A liquid permeable topsheet web extending substantially continuously in a machine direction a backsheet web, and an intermediate layer are provided. The topsheet web has first and second surfaces. The backsheet web extends substantially continuously in the machine direction. The intermediate layer has a first and second surface. The topsheet and intermediate layer are aligned in a face to face relationship such that the second surface of the topsheet in in contact with the first surface of the intermediate layer and simultaneously mechanically deformed which combines the topsheet with the intermediate layer. The topsheet web and intermediate layer are nested together such that a majority of the three-dimensional protrusions formed in the topsheet web coincide with and fit together with a majority of the three-dimensional protrusions formed in the intermediate layer to provide a topsheet/intermediate layer laminate web having three-dimensional protrusions.
