DISPOSABLE WEARING ARTICLE
A disposable wearing article has a top sheet including a skin-contacting region which is in contact with skin of a wearer. The top sheet is a perforated nonwoven fabric having a hole-arranging area in which the holes penetrating a front surface of the perforated nonwoven fabric and a back surface thereof are arranged in a predetermined pattern. The skin-contacting region has a liquid-containing area containing a hydrophilic skin care liquid, the hole-arranging area, and an overlapping area in which the liquid-containing area and the hole-arranging area are overlapped each other. The top sheet is, at least at the entire hole-arranging area of the top sheet, bonded to an intermediate sheet or the like located at a back surface side of the top sheet with a hydrophobic hot melt adhesive.
ABSORBENT COMPONENT
An absorbent component for a wound dressing comprises a stitch bonded nonwoven substrate wherein the nonwoven substrate is stitch bonded with an elastomeric yarn and wherein the nonwoven substrate comprises a superabsorbent material and/or a gelling material. Also disclosed is a method of manufacturing the absorbent component, a wound dressing or a negative pressure apparatus comprising the absorbent component and a method of treating a wound using said wound dressing or negative pressure apparatus comprising the absorbent component.
Disposable absorbent article with side lying leakage improvement
An absorbent article having improved leakage protection when the wearer of the absorbent article is lying on their side. The absorbent article has a surge layer in liquid communication with a portion of the garment facing region and a portion of a side edge of the absorbent core.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED CORE AND METHOD OF MAKING
An absorbent article comprising: a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned between said topsheet and backsheet, wherein the absorbent core comprises an absorbent material, said absorbent material comprising cellulose fibers and/or superabsorbent polymers, and wherein said absorbent material is contained within at least one core wrap substrate enclosing said absorbent material therein, wherein the absorbent core further comprises an intermediate layer positioned between a top layer of said core wrap and a bottom layer of said core wrap such that said absorbent material is disposed between said top layer and said intermediate layer and between said bottom layer and said intermediate layer.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED CORE AND METHOD OF MAKING
An absorbent article comprising: a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and an absorbent core positioned between said topsheet and backsheet, wherein the absorbent core comprises an absorbent material, said absorbent material comprising cellulose fibers and/or superabsorbent polymers, and wherein said absorbent material is contained within at least one core wrap substrate enclosing said absorbent material therein, wherein the absorbent core further comprises an intermediate layer positioned between a top layer of said core wrap and a bottom layer of said core wrap such that said absorbent material is disposed between said top layer and said intermediate layer and/or between said bottom layer and said intermediate layer, and wherein said top layer, said bottom layer, and said intermediate layer are joined together to form one or more channel forming areas substantially free of said absorbent material.
Absorbent cores comprising a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material
Described herein is an absorbent article having an absorbent core. The absorbent core includes a superabsorbent polymer material and a superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material includes from about 20% to about 70% of a first polymer and from about 30% to about 80% of a second polymer. The superabsorbent polymer immobilizing material has a Shear Viscosity at 10 (1/s) at 230° C. of from about 300 mPa.Math.s to about 10,000 mPa.Math.s.
MULTI-LAYER ABSORBENT CORES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Multi-layered absorbent bodies and methods of manufacture are disclosed. A method of forming an absorbent body may comprise moving a first covering material in a machine direction, moving a reinforcing material in the machine direction and combining the reinforcing material with the first covering material, the reinforcing material having a top side and a bottom side, applying absorbent material comprising superabsorbent particles to the top side of the reinforcing material, moving a second covering material in the machine direction and combining the second covering material with the first covering material and the reinforcing material to form a laminate structure of the first covering material, the reinforcing material, and the second covering material, with the first covering material disposed underneath the reinforcing material and the second covering material disposed on top of the reinforcing material, and embossing the laminate structure.
MULTI-LAYER ABSORBENT CORES AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
Multi-layered absorbent bodies and methods of manufacture are disclosed. An absorbent body may comprise a top, liquid permeable covering material, a bottom covering material, a reinforcing material disposed between the top covering material and the bottom covering material, the reinforcing material bonded directly to the top covering material by a first adhesive layer and bonded directly to the bottom covering material by a second adhesive layer, and superabsorbent material disposed between the top covering material and the bottom covering material, wherein between about 30% and about 85%, by weight, of the total amount of superabsorbent material disposed between the top covering material and the bottom covering material is stabilized within the reinforcing material, as determined according to the SAM Stabilization Location Test Method.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article includes an absorbent element obtained by wrapping an absorbent body in a wrapping sheet. The wrapping sheet includes an intermediate part located on one side of a front side and a back side of the absorbent body and both side parts folded back to the other side of the absorbent body from the intermediate part. The both side parts are overlapped with each other on the other side of the absorbent body. An overlapped part is bonded through a hot melt adhesive to form a connecting portion. A surface of the absorbent body on a side of the connecting portion is bonded to an internal surface of the wrapping sheet through hot melt adhesives, and the connecting portion of the wrapping sheet extends in a width direction to extend over both widthwise sides of a slit provided in the absorbent body.
