The channel sealings are formed by thermo and/or mechanical welding pattern including a plurality of welding spots being arranged in the form of a first row along the longitudinal axis in which each welding spot extends along a first axis, and a second row along the longitudinal axis in which each welding spot extends along a second axis, the first axis and second axis defining a first angle in relation to each other.

ABSORBENT CORE WITH PROFILED DISTRIBUTION OF ABSORBENT MATERIAL

An absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers. The core comprises a core wrap comprising a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material between the top side and the bottom side, a first and second longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis and substantially free of absorbent material preferably through which the top side of the core wrap is attached to the bottom side of the core wrap. The core has a central absorbent zone between the first and the second channel-forming areas and a first and second lateral absorbent zones disposed laterally outwardly. The average basis weight of the absorbent material in the central absorbent zone is lower than the average basis weight of the absorbent material in the lateral absorbent zones.

ABSORBENT CORE WITH TRANSVERSAL FOLDING LINES

An absorbent core for absorbent articles such as diapers comprising a core wrap comprising a top side and a bottom side, an absorbent material between the top side and the bottom side of the core wrap, a first and second longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas substantially free of absorbent material preferably through which the top side of the core wrap is attached to the bottom side of the core wrap disposed on opposite sides of the longitudinal axis. The core has a central absorbent zone between the first and the second channel-forming areas and a first and second lateral absorbent zones disposed laterally outwardly. The absorbent core comprises at least one transversal folding line, preferably at least two transversal folding lines, in the region where the longitudinally-extending channel-forming areas are present.

FLUID-ABSORBENT ARTICLE

Absorbent core and an absorbent article respectively with improved properties, especially rewet performance, are disclosed. The absorbent core contains at least two layers, wherein each layer has from 0 to 10% by weight fibrous material and from 90 to 100% by weight water-absorbent polymer particles, based on the sum of water-absorbent polymer particles and fibrous material. The surface crosslinked water absorbent polymer particles within the upper layer have a sphericity of at least 0.89 and the absorbent core shows a CRC.sub.AP/TAC.sub.AP ratio of at least 0.65.

FIXED AND REMOVABLE ABSORBENT CORES FOR ABSORBENT ARTICLES

A multiple use absorbent article includes a chassis absorbent unit having a chassis topsheet, a chassis backsheet, and a chassis absorbent core sandwiched between the chassis topsheet and the chassis backsheet. The article also includes an absorbent insert bonded to the chassis absorbent unit, a removable portion of the absorbent insert configured to be selectively removable from the chassis absorbent unit, wherein the absorbent insert includes an insert top-sheet, an insert backsheet, and an insert absorbent core sandwiched between the insert topsheet and the insert backsheet. The absorbent insert further includes a line of weakness that provides for separation of the absorbent insert into a removable portion configured to be removed from the chassis absorbent unit, and a resident portion that remains bonded to the chassis absorbent unit.

An absorbent article includes a first waist region, a second waist region and a crotch region disposed between the first and second waist regions; and a topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The article further includes a stretch laminate having a bonding region. The bonding region has a plurality of ultrasonic bonds, a majority of the ultrasonic bonds are oriented in a stretch direction, and the bonding region has a Hysteresis Ratio of 2.5 or less and an Unload Force at 50% of 0.44 MPa or greater.

Absorbent article and method for manufacturing an absorbent article

An absorbent article including a liquid-permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable backsheet and an absorbent core sandwiched between the topsheet and the backsheet, the article being arranged along a longitudinal axis and a transversal axis extending in a perpendicular direction in relation to the longitudinal axis and the main article defining a front portion, a back portion and a crotch portion, wherein the absorbent core is formed with a sealing arrangement including two channel sealings extending along the longitudinal axis in the crotch portion and defining a first effective channel sealing width and a second effective channel sealing width, respectively. The sealing arrangement includes two side seams extending along two side edges of the core, the side seams defining a third and fourth effective width, respectively, along the crotch portion and defining a fifth and sixth effective width, respectively, along the front portion and back portion.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED FLUID CONTAINMENT AND COMFORT

The present invention relates generally to absorbent products, and, more particularly, to disposable absorbent articles that provide improvements in the containment of bodily fluid secretions. The fluid containment improvements are the result of adding gasketing barriers to standing leg cuffs of various absorbent articles. Adding gasketing barriers to the standing leg cuffs will decrease fluid leakage at the leg and crotch area of the user and will improve the comfort of the user.

Disposable absorbent article with unitary topsheet and unitary absorbent article

The present invention relates to disposable absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, baby diapers, adult incontinence articles and sweat pads. According to the present invention the absorbent article in the region designated for liquid deposition on its wearer facing surface has a single layer topsheet onto which liquid to be absorbed is provided during use of the article. The absorbent article includes a backsheet forming the liquid barrier surface and a unitary absorbent core between the topsheet and the backsheet. Importantly the unitary core provides improved liquid handling to the absorbent article and increases the masking, i.e. ability to hide stains due to absorbed liquid, of the article. This is particularly beneficial in the context of articles for absorption of liquids with high color intensity, such as menstrual liquid or urine of older adults.
