FLUID LENS COMPONENT FOR INTRAOCULAR LENS AND METHODS OF PREPARING THE SAME
An intraocular device that includes a fluid lens is provided. The fluid lens has an anterior side and posterior side that can be coupled together to form a closed cavity therebetween that can be filled with a liquid material. A channel can be formed in the posterior side that is configured to receive a joining substance that bonds the anterior side to the posterior side and inhibit the unintended spread of the joining substance. A syringe can be extended through a port in the fluid lens to flow liquid material into the closed cavity. Subsequently, a plug can be inserted into the port to prevent the escape of the liquid material.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR DOCKING A HEART VALVE
Expandable docking stations for docking an expandable valve can include a valve seat, one or more sealing portions, and/or one or more retaining portions. The valve seat can include radiopaque markers affixed to a frame or an impermeable member. The radiopaque markers can indicate a deployment location of the valve. The docking stations can be deployed from a catheter including one or more radiopaque markers. Relative positioning of two or more radiopaque markers can provide an indication of the amount of deployment of the docking station.
VALVE PROSTHESIS FIXATION TECHNIQUES USING SANDWICHING
A prosthetic apparatus for implantation at a native valve complex includes a main body configured for placement within the native valve, at least one downstream arm and at least one upstream arm, each coupled to and disposed outside of the main body. The main body includes a compressed state for delivery and an expanded state. In the expanded state, a space exists between the downstream arm and an outer surface of the main body to receive an edge of a native valve leaflet. A portion of the downstream arm is configured to extend behind the received native leaflet and engage a downstream surface of the native valve complex while the edge of the received native leaflet is not engaged by the downstream arm. The upstream arm is configured to engage an upstream surface of the native valve complex at a location opposite the portion of the downstream arm.
IMPLANTABLE GRAFT AND METHODS OF MAKING SAME
The present invention relates to an implantable endoluminal graft comprised of a microporous thin-film metal covering having a plurality of openings and a structural support element underlying and physically attached to the microporous thin-film metal covering, the microporous thin-film metal covering having shape memory properties.
PROSTHESIS HAVING PIVOTING FENESTRATION
The present disclosure relates to an endoluminal prosthesis, such as a stent graft that includes one or more fenestrations to accommodate endovascular disease, such as an aneurysm in cases where one or more side branches is involved. In one aspect, the prosthesis includes fenestrations that are pivotable to accommodate the dynamic geometry of the aortic branches.
PERSONALIZED PROSTHESIS AND METHODS OF USE
A personalized prosthesis for implantation at a treatment site of a patient includes a self-expanding mesh or membrane having collapsed and expanded configurations. The collapsed configuration is adapted to be delivered to the treatment site, and the expanded configuration engages the personalized prosthesis with the treatment site. The mesh or membrane is personalized to match the treatment site in the expanded configuration, and has an outer surface that substantially matches the treatment site shape and size. The self-expanding mesh or membrane forms a central lumen configured to allow blood or other body fluids to flow therethrough. Methods of manufacturing and delivery of the personalized prosthesis are also disclosed.
STENT PUSHER ASSEMBLY
Provided is a stent pusher assembly for positioning a ureteral stent, the stent pusher assembly having an inner and outer stent pusher. The stent pusher assembly positions the ureteral stent in a patient's kidney and bladder without a bladder fixing portion of the stent entering a ureteral passage-way, thereby minimizing irritation to the patient.
Prosthetic Valves and Related Inventions
This invention relates to the design and function of a compressible valve replacement prosthesis, collared or uncollared, which can be deployed into a beating heart without extracorporeal circulation using a transcatheter delivery system. The design as discussed focuses on the deployment of a device via a minimally invasive fashion and by way of example considers a minimally invasive surgical procedure preferably utilizing the intercostal or subxyphoid space for valve introduction. In order to accomplish this, the valve is formed in such a manner that it can be compressed to fit within a delivery system and secondarily ejected from the delivery system into the annulus of a target valve such as a mitral valve or tricuspid valve.
Covered Stent
A covered stent (100) includes a first wave ring (20) provided on at least one end of the covered stent (100), wherein the first wave ring (20) is formed of braided wires by means of braiding; each of the braided wires has wire heads (21) and a wire rod (22), with the wire heads (21) being located at two ends of the wire rod (22); and the wire heads (21) of the braided wire are wound around the adjacent wire rod (22); and the covered stent (100) further includes a limiting unit (40), with the limiting unit (40) being arranged on the wire head (21) and the wire rod (22) adjacent to the wire head (21), and the limiting unit (40) limiting the range of axial and/or radial movement of the wire head (21) relative to the wire rod (22).
VALVE PROSTHESIS ASSEMBLY INCLUDING A DOUBLE-LAYER VASCULAR GRAFT
A valve prosthesis assembly is disclosed. The valve prosthesis assembly comprises a replacement valve including an attachment cuff, an inner layer graft and an outer layer graft coupled to the replacement valve at the attachment cuff. The replacement valve includes a first side and a second side opposite the first side, and the inner layer graft and the outer layer graft define a chamber therebetween adjacent to the first side of the replacement valve.
