A jaw support device for supporting a patient's jaw during dental procedures. More specifically, a jaw support device comprising a headrest mount assembly, a split sphere assembly having a first locking mechanism, a ball joint assembly having a second locking mechanism, and a jaw rest assembly. The headrest mount assembly may attach to a dental chair headrest. The split sphere assembly may have a split sphere ball and an arm extension and may attach to the headrest mount assembly. Further, the split sphere assembly's first locking mechanism may lock the arm extension in place. The ball joint assembly may have a ball joint ball and may connect to the arm extension of the split sphere assembly. The jaw rest assembly may attach to the ball joint assembly and may be locked in place when the second locking mechanism is activated.

The present invention comprises a kit of a restraint ring, a base and a quick release, tamper resistant fastener. The base is adapted to attach to a fixture. The fixture may be a bed, chair, floor or wall. The base may be attached using tamper resistant fasteners. The base may be permanently attached or may be removably attached. The base is adapted to releasably receive the quick release fastener thereby attaching the restraint ring to the base.

The harness cooperates with the backrest member to define a receiving space for receiving at least a portion of a torso of a wheelchair user. The flexion control assembly is coupled to the backrest member of the harness assembly. The flexion control assembly is configured to selectively permit or restrict movement of the backrest member about and between the fully retracted position and the fully extended position.

Adjustable side and shoulder panels may also be included to accommodate patients of different sizes. The wheelchair body harness may contain straps and buckle members across the patient's sides and shoulders that correspond to straps and buckle members located on a wheelchair or wheelchair insert. The vest portion may contain a Velcro section on the posterior side to adhere to a Velcro back of a wheelchair or wheelchair insert. The vest portion may also contain snap parts interspersed throughout the Velcro section to snap onto mating snap parts on the Velcro back of the wheelchair or wheelchair insert.

A patient containment system for securing a patient to a patient transport apparatus, comprising a first lower strap and a second lower strap. Each of the first lower strap and the second lower strap have a thigh region, a waist region, and a connection region arranged between the thigh region and the waist region. A first connector is coupled to the connection region of the first lower strap. A second connector is coupled to the connection region of the second lower strap, and is configured to releasably attach to the first connector to at least partially limit movement of the first lower strap relative to the second lower strap. The connection region defines a connection width, and the thigh region defines a thigh width larger than the connection width.

The patient containment system includes a lower strap, an upper strap having a front end coupled to the lower strap and a back end, and a coupling system to facilitate releasable attachment of the patient containment system to the patient transport apparatus. The coupling system includes a latch coupled to the back end of the upper strap, a coupling bracket configured for removable attachment to the back section of the patient transport apparatus, and a keeper operatively attached to the coupling bracket and configured to removably receive the latch to retain the upper strap together with the latch relative to the coupling bracket.
