ANTI-STAIN ABSORPTION PAD FOR UNDERPANTS AND UNDERPANTS COMPRISING THE SAME
An anti-stain absorption pad for underpants and an underpants including the same are provided. The absorption pad includes a waterproof layer, at least one absorption layer and two fixing structures; wherein the waterproof layer includes a main body and two inverse-folded parts respectively provided at two opposite sides of the main body; the at least one absorption layer is disposed on the main body, and the at least one absorption layer is used for absorbing a liquid; and the two fixing structures are respectively disposed at the two inverse-folded parts, and fix the two inverse-folded parts on the at least one absorption layer. Therefore, in the present invention, since the fixing structures are covered by the waterproof layer due to the structure of the inverse-folded parts, backflow and secondary leakage of menstrual blood can be avoided, thereby achieving a complete leakproof effect.
Receptacles having tear-controlling features
A urinary collection receptacle (10,50,650) with a handle seal (22,52,654) defining a handle opening is provided with one or more tear-controlling features to prevent a user from tearing through the handle seal when creating a spout to empty urine. The receptacle is be configured to require a user to create a generally linear tear (30) that extends from one edge (16) of the bag to the opposite edge (18) without passing through the handle seal. Alternatively a tear-stopping formation (62) is positioned adjacent to the handle seal to terminate a fear propagating toward the handle seal. Alternatively, a tear-starting formation (652) is positioned adjacent to the handle seal to direct a tear away from the handle seal. Such a receptacle further includes a frangible region that can be broken to dissociate a torn portion of the receptacle from the remainder of the receptacle.

Ostomy system
In an embodiment of the invention, an ostomy system may comprise a stationary ring and a movable ring, hingedly connected to each other. One of the rings may include a deformable lip usable in creating a seal. The inner pouch may comprise a film material and a sealing member such as a gasket that is grippable between the two rings. The sealing member may be stiff when dry but may quickly become soft upon immersion in water, and may comprise paper material. The outer pouch may comprise a blister or pleat that is flexible and deformable between a compact position and an extended position. The outer pouch may comprise a storage region capable of containing at least one unused inner pouch. The system may comprise a wafer and an outer pouch and an inner pouch as separately replaceable parts.
Sensor assembly part and a base plate for a medical appliance and a method for manufacturing a sensor assembly part and a base plate
Disclosed is a base plate, a sensor assembly part and a method for manufacturing of a base plate or a sensor assembly part. The method comprising: positioning a coupling part; positioning an electrode assembly; providing one or more terminal elements; positioning the one or more terminal elements; securing the one or more terminal elements, by securing the distal part of each of the one or more terminal elements to the coupling part and positioning the proximal part of each of the one or more terminal elements to contact respective connection parts of the one or more electrodes, wherein after securing the one or more terminal elements, the terminal element bend of each of the one or more terminal elements forms a second angle, the second angle being less than the first angle.
Monitor device of a medical system and associated method for operating a monitor device
Disclosed is a method of operating a monitor device and an associated monitor device of an ostomy system including an ostomy appliance having an electrode assembly comprising a plurality of electrodes including a first electrode pair, the method comprising: obtaining one or more parameters including obtaining a first parameter of a first terminal pair connected to the first electrode pair of the electrode assembly; determining if one or more operability criteria are satisfied based on the one or more parameters including determining if the first parameter satisfies first operability criteria indicative of operability of the first electrode pair of the electrode assembly.
Coupling part with a hinge for a medical base plate and sensor assembly part
Disclosed is a coupling part and a base plate comprising a coupling part. The coupling part comprises a first coupling part section and a second coupling part section. The first coupling part section being configured for attachment to a first part of the base plate, and the second coupling part section being configured for attachment to a second part of the base plate. The first coupling part section being hingedly attached to the second coupling part section allowing a rotational movement of the first coupling part section relative to the second coupling part section about a hinge-axis. The hinge axis being parallel to the first coupling part plane and the second coupling part plane.

System for applying a stoma cover
A system including a stoma cover and an applicator for applying a stoma cover for temporarily covering a stoma during exchange of an ostomy appliance. The stoma cover has a hood-like element with a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, wherein the proximal end portion of the hood-like element is configured to be adjustable to provide for a stoma entrance of the stoma cover to be of variable size, which can be manipulated using the applicator. Also disclosed is a stoma cover and a kit of parts.
Ostomy appliance
An ostomy appliance comprising a main body portion comprising an inner wall and an outer wall of flexible sheet material joined together to define a cavity for containing a stomal output; the inner wall comprising an inlet for receiving the stomal output into the cavity; the ostomy appliance further comprising an outer comfort layer overlying at least a portion of the outer wall; wherein the outer comfort layer comprise a first part and a second part which are joined to the outer wall so that the first part partially overlaps the second part in an overlap region, wherein the first part and the second part are separable from each other in the overlap region to form a window opening for viewing the cavity; wherein the overlap region is angled obliquely to a horizontal direction when the ostomy appliance is orientated as it would be in use.
