GOGGLE SYSTEMS AND METHODS

Goggles and eyewear with various features are described herein. Such goggles and eyewear may include lenses that allow for the installation of larger roll-off films, adjustable nose sections to increase comfort of a wearer, sweat management systems that include a permeable gasket and a gutter, lens attachment systems, and co-molded frames of multiple different materials.

Stackable Eye Shields

A container having a stack of eye shields, includes a stack of eye shields having a plurality of eye shields stacked one on top of another. The stack of eye shields is in a sloped configuration in which ear pieces of frames of the eye shields are generally aligned with one another and disposed at an angle relative to horizontal of from about 10 to about 35 degrees. A container is provided having a horizontal bottom onto which the stack of eye shields is supported, the container having a top opposite the bottom, the top being sloped to be substantially parallel to the ear pieces of the eye shields of the stack of eye shields.

Provided are a face shield that can easily be combined and used with various masks and a mask-equipped face shield.

A face shield 1-1 is the face shield 1-1 that is attachable/detachable to/from a mask 2, and covers at least an eye of a face of a user who wears the mask 2. The face shield 1-1 is made of a film 101-1 having flexibility and translucency. At least a pair of cut lines 102L and 102R through which straps 202 of the mask 2 can be inserted are formed in both left and right parts of the face shield 1-1. The cut lines 102 have engagement parts 102a and 102b to be engaged with the straps 202 inserted through the cut lines 102.

Frameless goggle

A frameless goggle with a lens that is structurally self-supporting without any external support from a frame, chassis, or other, similar components. The resulting goggle is more streamlined and has fewer parts to manufacture and assemble. In some embodiments, the goggle lens includes an integral support portion that improves the stiffness and strength of the lens.

ADJUSTABLE EYEWEAR STRAP

An adjustable goggle strap includes a strap body and an adjustment cord disposed on the strap body. The adjustment cord may be releasably engaged by a cord lock in order to modify a total length of the strap body. The cord lock may be located on the strap body or various elements of an attached eyewear, such as an eyewear frame, lens, or eyewear strap attachments. Some aspects of the adjustable goggle strap include a retainer to secure an excess portion of the adjustment cord.

A goggle and an angle adjustment mechanism thereof are provided. The angle adjustment mechanism includes an assembling slot and a bendable temple. The assembling slot has a retaining rack arranged therein, and the retaining rack is in an arced shape. The bendable temple is integrally formed as a single one-piece structure and includes an assembling segment pivotally connected to the assembling slot and having an engaging tooth and a flexible segment that extends from the assembling segment. The engaging tooth of the assembling segment is inserted into the assembling slot and is engaged with the retaining rack, and the assembling segment is rotatable relative to the assembling slot in an angle range, so that the engaging tooth is engaged with and movable from one end of the retaining rack to another end of the retaining rack.

A multi-layer lens is coupled to the frame body and conforms to the frame opening. The multi-layer lens comprises an outer transparent layer, an inner transparent layer, and a photochromatic layer coupled between the outer transparent layer and the inner transparent layer. The photochromatic layer reacts to light to selectively darken the multi-layer lens. A pair of loops is coupled to the frame body. The pair of loops is coupled to the frame left side and the frame right side. A strap is coupled to the pair of loops. The strap is elasticized and has an adjustable length.

Tear-Off Lens Capture

A tear-off capture system includes an eye protector with a base lens. The eye protector has a retention mechanism mounted on one side, and a support mechanism that supports the eye protector on the head of a wearer. A two-tabbed stack of laminated tear-off lenses mounts to the eye protector via an adhesive. The stack mounts so that the first tab of the stack aligns with the first side of the eye protector and the second tab engages with the retention mechanism. Via the second tab and the retention mechanism, released tear-off layers are directed toward the second side of the eye protector away from the base lens. A capturer helps hold the initially released tear-off layer to the eye protector. An exposed tacky surface on each released tear-off helps hold the subsequently removed tear-off layers.

The protective visor comprises a headband (5), a face shield (1), protective goggles (6), a light shading screen (4), a light grid (8) and a housing (2), which are connected to each other. The light shading screen (4) and the light grid (8) constitute a light refraction and transmission device for refracting and transmitting the light, which includes a light aperture processed to have a curved surface and located at the front and upper end portion of the housing (2). The light aperture has a serrated lattice shutter structure, and the light shading screen (4) is disposed at the outer side of the light aperture. The protective visor can effectively prevent foreign splash, and absorb radiant heat and certain ultraviolet rays to protect an operator's face.
