Human stabilization platforms and related mattresses
Mattresses for human stabilization may include a mass of foam material. A cover including a fabric material may at least partially surrounding the mass of foam material. Head blocks including a foam material may be located proximate to one end of the mattress. The fabric material of the cover may at least partially cover the head blocks, and the head blocks may be foldable relative to the mass of foam material to enable the head blocks to be positioned against lateral sides of a person's head. Human stabilization platforms may include a litter having a surface sized and shaped to support a person thereabove. Straps may be configured to restrain a person's head, the straps having releasable connectors at ends thereof. A track may be located on the surface of the litter, and may be configured to receive the connectors to affix the straps to the litter.

The device includes: a mattress element, configured to receive on it the body of a subject in a lying position and for this purpose presenting a flat conformation with a longitudinal dimension (L) prevalent with respect to a transversal dimension (T); fixing means of the mattress element to the support structure, arranged in correspondence with a portion of the longitudinal margin of said mattress element and connected or connectable to the latter. The fixing means have a continuously or discreetly adjustable position (P) along the longitudinal margin portion of the mattress element.
Combined Patient Handling and Surgical Positioning System for Use with Mechanical LIfts in the Operating Room
The present invention provides a combined patient handling and surgical positioning system for use with a mechanical lift for positioning a patient on a surgical table. A pad assembly has a base with a top surface. The base has a plurality of handles attached thereto. The handles have openings defined therein. A foam top is fixedly mounted to the top surface of the base. At least one strap is attached to the pad assembly. The pad assembly is configured to prevent bunching when lifting or repositioning the patient during surgical table positioning changes required during surgery and the pad assembly is configured for movement in multiple directions during surgery. An elongate support member is configured to extend through the openings in the plurality of handles on the pad assembly. A plurality of lifting slings are configured to removably attach to the elongate support bar to the mechanical lift in a surgical theater.

Gurney restraint system
The embodiments described and claimed herein are a restraint system for securing a wheeled mobility device and its occupant in a vehicle. In one embodiment, occupant restraints and an anchor point are provided. The occupant restraints are connected directly to the anchor point, while the anchor point is on a frame of the wheeled mobility device and is adapted for connection to the vehicle for securing the wheeled mobility device and its occupant to the vehicle. With this configuration, occupant loads during an accident will bypass the gurney and occupant head excursions can be reduced.

The present invention is directed to an apparatus resembling a rescue backboard for the extrication of individuals in scenarios wherein the individual requires attention, such as medical attention.
