Hygienic barrier
Personal protective equipment including hygienic barriers and methods of use to provide an improved barrier between a patient and a caregiver; where such barriers include a reinforced region and an enclosure portion, where the enclosure portion extends beyond the reinforced region such that when suspended above the patient, in a deployed configuration, the enclosure portion hangs down from the reinforced region through a force of gravity to form an enclosure space.
DENTAL OPERATORY PROTECTION TABLE
A protective apparatus for use in medical and dental procedures to prevent exposure and exchange of harmful substances between an area isolated by the apparatus and the environment of use. The apparatus includes a physical shield, a vacuum barrier, and an adjustable support frame. The apparatus further includes a vacuum connector for connecting the apparatus to a vacuum source, a vacuum conduit for flow communicating with the air around the perimeter of the physical shield such that the vacuum source draws air along with solid and liquid matter entrained in the air into the vacuum conduit, and a plurality of vacuum apertures located along the vacuum conduit for communicating the vacuum source with the air. The apparatus provides protection for persons in proximity to a source of harmful substances such as aerosols derived from patients infected with viruses or the like and more in particular corona viruses.
Personal space protective enclosure
A personal space protective enclosure defines an enclosed space that protects individuals within the enclosed space from infection by airborne pathogens. A plurality of vertically-hanging strips hang on hooks on a strip-mounting frame that is supported by a vertical support stanchion, or a plurality thereof. The hooks each have a rectangular cross-section defining and a straight upper surface when viewed in one direction and a curvilinear cross-section when viewed in another direction. The vertically-hanging strips each define an opening that has an upper straight edge that is contiguous with the straight upper surface of the hooks when hanging in resting position, and which return to the resting position after being disturbed from the resting position, such as by an individual reaching between the vertically-hanging strips.
Marine rescue patient isolation apparatus
A patient isolation unit (PIU) for use in marine rescues. The PIU of this invention is useful to safely transport personnel exposed to, or potentially exposed to, an identified and/or known infectious agent or chemical warfare agent (CWA) on marine vessels and/or aircraft such as Coast Guard boasts, cutters and aircraft. The PIU has a generally tapered tubular shape compatible with wire rescue baskets conforming in shape to the human body and into which an injured, sick, or disabled person can be safely strapped, such as the Stokes litter rescue basket for hoisting and fit in rotary wing aircraft.
FIELD-TYPE MODULAR NEGATIVE PRESSURE ISOLATION ROOM SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING FIELD-TYPE MODULAR NEGATIVE PRESSURE ISOLATION ROOM SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to a field-type negative pressure isolation room system including main facilities necessary for constructing a negative pressure isolation room defined by the legal regulations, wherein the main facilities are manufactured in a plant in a modular way, so these modular facilities are usually stored in a warehouse, etc., and are installed in an outdoor site such as a parking lot, playground, vacant lot, and the like in case of emergency to utilize as a negative pressure isolation room, and these modular facilities are disinfected and dismantled during demolition and stored in the warehouse again, whereby these modular facilities can be used repeatedly regardless of the number of times of use, and can be quickly constructed and dismantled.
Infection Control Systems and Devices
The disclosed infection control systems and devices can be easily and quickly deployed by clinicians and staff in emergent and routine medical environments to provide adequate protection from bio-aerosolized and droplet material while allowing appropriate access to and visibility of the patient during such procedures. The infection control devices may include a base member and a frame disposed on the base member. The frame may be configured to move between a collapsed state and an expanded state with respect to the base member. The frame may include a first support member and a second support member configured to extend vertically from the base member when in the expanded state. The devices may include an enclosure member that is disposed on the frame and the base member and configured to define an enclosure above the base member. The devices may also include access member(s) configured to provide access to the enclosure.
Medical isolation transport system—MITS
A flexible rapid deployable system that may be used create an isolated space within a medical transport vehicle for use when transporting infected or contaminated patients, including a flexible tent-like liner that creates a room inside the vehicle where both the patient and medical personnel can be isolated and that isolates contaminants within and a filtration system capable of producing the required air flow to maintain a negative pressurized isolated environment, sized to effectively accomplish this for the isolated cubic space.
PERSONAL RESPIRATORY ISOLATION SYSTEM
A personal respiratory isolation system (PRIS) provides a personal, negative pressure environment for a patient or user that reduces contamination and spread of pathogens exhaled by the patient into the environment. The PRIS includes an enclosure to receive the patient's head (such as a hood and a drape) and a negative pressure source which draws ambient air into the interior of the enclosure and draws air within the enclosure's interior (including the exhalations of the patient, including any contaminants and/or pathogens) out of the enclosure via a fluid port into a container for biohazard processing or disposal. The PRIS may allow positive air pressure therapeutic treatments to be delivered to the patient within the negative pressure environment, and the PRIS may maintain a constant pressure within the interior of the enclosure. The PRIS may include a transparent, hinged face shield for ease of patient observation and/or access.
APPARATUS HAVING A PROTECTIVE ENVELOPE, USE THEREOF, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A ROOM REGION
The invention is an apparatus having a protective envelope which is designed and constructed to envelope at least one room region, such that the protective envelope is able to separate the at least one room region from an environment immediately surrounding the protective envelope, and use thereof. Methods for operating a production engineering unit under cleanroom conditions and for creating and operating a virus-free and cross-contamination free room region surrounded by a protective envelope for accommodating persons and/or objects subject to quarantine. The invention has a protective envelope with at least two layers separated by a spacer layer, that is flow-permeable.
