Method for placing implant using robotic system
09795394 · 2017-10-24 · ·

A method for placing an implant on a patient in a robotic surgical procedure using a robotic system. During the robotic surgical procedure, a navigation system tracks the patient. The navigation system also provides information to the robotic system to guide movement of a cutting tool to remove material from the patient such that a cut surface is created to receive the implant. The implant is then robotically placed on the cut surface.

LIMB POSITIONING SYSTEM

A limb positioning system for positioning and maintaining immobilized a patient's limb in a desired position with respect to a surgical table during orthopedic surgery. The system includes: a pivoting member having a longitudinal portion extending along a corresponding longitudinal axis; a support member configured to support the patient's limb; the support member includes a support hooking part connected to the longitudinal portion and movable along the longitudinal portion; a clutch connected to the pivoting member having an open configuration and a locked configuration, wherein, in the open configuration, the clutch enables pivoting of the pivoting member around a rotation axis that is parallel to the longitudinal axis, distinct from the longitudinal axis, and wherein, in the locked configuration, the clutch allows immobilization of the pivoting member in the desired position; and at least one fixation member configured to maintain the system in position with respect to the surgical table.

Method for performing surgical procedures using optical cutting guides

A method for performing a surgical procedure on a patient using a robotic system and a navigation system. The robotic system includes a cutting tool. The navigation system has at least one locating device to track a portion of the patient during the surgical procedure. The navigation system provides information as to a position of the portion of the patient. An optical cutting guide is projected onto the portion of the patient to enable cutting of the portion of the patient with the cutting tool of the robotic system while the optical cutting guide is projected onto the portion of the patient.

Forearm and wrist fracture table

A forearm and wrist fracture table includes base members, vertical bars, horizontal bars, an elbow support member and a hand support member. The vertical bars includes a first vertical bar and a second vertical bar attached to the support base members. The horizontal bars are attached between the support base members and vertical bars to provide horizontal stability and length adjustment between the support base members and the vertical bars. The elbow support member is attached to the first vertical bar to provide support for the elbow. The hand support member is attached to the second vertical bar to receive and support a hand extending from the elbow, wherein the fractured arm is supported between the elbow support member and the hand support member, wherein a surgeon is allowed to modulate an amount of needing pressure required to distract fracture fragments, and thereby reducing fracture and healing the fracture site.

LIMB POSITIONING DISPOSABLES WITH INFLATABLE BLADDERS

An orthopedic limb interface device is disclosed for positioning and retaining a lower portion of the arm of the human body during orthopedic operatory procedures. The device includes a handplate coupled to a sleeve. The sleeve surrounds and grips the arm and is lined with an inflatable bladder. The bladder includes a plurality of inflatable zones, at least one zone having inflation limiting means such that the inflated bladder has a variable inflation profile therealong. The variable inflation profile is configured to increase retention at target areas of the limb, while softly retaining other areas of the limb to avoid limb numbness. Areas of increased retention may engage portions of the arm to improve the grip on the arm for reliable limb distraction.

Surgical hand wrap and sterile connector

Devices to secure the hand of a patient to a limb positioning device while evenly distributing the applied traction load across the patient's hand and wrist are disclosed. The hand is placed in the open position into a soft mitten, while an anatomically-shaped plate is attached to the mitten for supporting the palm of the hand in the open position. Straps are then secured around the patient's wrist and hand. Finally, the entire device is overwrapped an elastic bandage and secured to the limb positioning device. When traction is applied, the shape of the plate, the construction of the mitten, and the straps combine to allow low-contact pressure across the patient's hand and wrist.

A SYSTEM FOR POSITIONING AND RESTRAINING AT LEAST A PART OF A HAND

A system (10) for positioning and restraining a hand (11) during hand surgery and similar. The system (10) comprises a support plate (13) and a plurality of finger restraining elements (14), wherein each of the finger restraining elements (14) is removably connectable to a finger (12) or a plurality of fingers (12), and is detachably attachable to the support plate (13). The support plate (13) comprises a magnetic material, and each of the finger restraining elements (14) comprises a rigid ring portion (19) for receiving a finger (12), and a fastening portion (20) with a permanent magnet (22) for detachably attaching the finger restraining element (14) in a desired position on the support plate (13), so that a finger (12) received in the ring portion (19) can be secured to the support plate (13) in the desired position.

COMBINATION SURGICAL KIT AND HAND RESTRAINT

The present invention relates to a combination surgical kit. The surgical kit can include a plurality of tools for a medical procedure, the plurality of tools including a first set of tools and a second set of tools. The surgical kit can also include a hand/wrist positioning tray device, including a bottom tray configured to hold the first set of tools, a middle tray configured to hold the second set of tools; and a top tray including a recess configured to receive a patients hand for the medical procedure.

HAND TABLE DEVICE FOR SURGEONS
20210145682 · 2021-05-20 ·

Hand table device for surgeons including a rectangular, rigid platform having elevated edges running along each long side thereof. The elevated edges allow the surgeon and assistant to rest their arms/wrists to prevent fatigue of their arms and shoulders while also providing a solid foundation for the surgeon's arms/wrists during a delicate procedure. The edges further prevent instruments and fluids from exiting the surgery area. The rigid platform may include magnets which, along with secondary metallic articles, permit instruments, medical devices and a patient's body part to be secured or immobilized as needed. The hand table device may be disposable for one-time use only.

Wrist support board

A wrist support board has a board with a ventral surface and an opposite dorsal surface, a smooth curve lengthwise, a proximal end to the board and an opposite distal end, a proximal strap, a distal strap, and a center strap. The proximal strap and the distal strap extend from the ventral surface and wrap a patient's arm placed upon the dorsal surface. The center strap extends through slots in the board proximate the vertex of the curve. The center strap enwraps a patient's arm slightly proximal from the patient's wrist. The proximal strap, the distal strap, and the center strap are perpendicular to the board. The three straps secure near their own centers to the board and present two free ends that wrap around a patient's arm. The wrist support board assists in the immobilizing, stabilizing, and hyper-exposure of the trans-radial artery of a patient.
