APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING A PATIENT'S BODY AND TRACKING THE PATIENT'S POSITION DURING SURGERY
20230130653 · 2023-04-27 ·

The disclosed system uses a body shape capturing device for acquiring a patient's body shape and a 3D shape generating device for additively manufacturing a patient receiving device that is at least partially adapted to the patient's body shape or at least partially deviates from the patient's body shape bringing the patient's body into a desired shape so that the outer shape of the patient's body during surgery is identical to the outer shape of the body during shape capturing. The patient receiving device comprises at least one tracker element that is detectable by a detection system. The detection system captures data indicating the at least one tracker element's position and/or orientation during surgery enabling, particularly for surgical operations on or in soft tissues with high flexibly and with no specific natural or artificial landmarks, the surgeon to orientate/navigate in live images from the surgical site.

PATIENT POSITIONING SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A method for reprocessing a patient positing system, the system comprising inflatable device and a high-friction pad configured to attach to the inflatable device. The method includes removing the high-friction pad from the inflatable device, at least one of cleaning or sterilizing the inflatable device, and providing a replacement for at least one component of the patient positioning system.

Person support apparatuses for subject repositioning

Support pad assemblies and person support apparatuses are disclosed. A person support apparatus includes a base frame, a longitudinal frame coupled to the base frame, and a support deck supported on the longitudinal frame. The longitudinal frame extends in a longitudinal direction and the support deck is adjustable from a planar configuration to a concave configuration or a convex configuration.

SURGICAL FRAME HAVING TRANSLATING LOWER BEAM AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF

A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a translating beam that is moveable between at least a first lateral position and a second lateral position. The translating beam is used to join a first support portion and a second support portion of the surgical frame to one another, and movement of the translating beam affords access to a patient receiving area.

TOOL MANIPULATOR AND SYSTEM FOR POSITIONING A TOOL FOR SURGICAL AND LIKE USES

The present disclosure relates to a tool manipulator, comprising a base, mountable on an operation table. A caliper is supported by the base and a tool holder is mounted on the caliper. An actuator positionable below a patient supporting surface of the operation table receives positioning commands for moving a tool in at least three degrees of freedom. The tool manipulator can be made part of a system for positioning a needle for diagnosis or treatment of the prostate of a patient. The system also comprises a power source connected to the actuator and a controller controlling the provision of the positioning commands to the actuator.

Birth assisting module and birthing furniture

A birth assisting module for being arranged in a region of a birth furniture where a pelvis of a mother is intended to be placed during birth, includes a pelvis mobilization support, a movement mechanics and a drive unit. The pelvis mobilization support is coupled to the movement mechanics. The movement mechanics is adapted to induce a controlled cadenced displacement of the pelvis mobilization support. The controlled cadenced displacement moves the pelvis mobilization support by at least 1 cm or at least 3 cm and preferably by at least 5 cm. The drive unit is connected to the movement mechanics to actuate the movement mechanics.

Mounting assembly for a magnetic field generator

The present disclosure provides a mounting assembly for attaching medical equipment to a patient table. In one particular embodiment, the present disclosure provides a mounting assembly for attaching a magnetic field generator to a patient table. The mounting assembly allows for the secure attachment of the magnetic field generator to the patient table while also allowing for easy adjustment of the positioning and location of the magnetic field generator, even after the patient is on the table. In many embodiments the mounting assembly is comprised of a mounting apparatus that attaches directly to the patient table and first and second side rails that attach to the magnetic field generator and are configured to slidably attach to the mounting apparatus. In some embodiments, the mounting apparatus and side rails are constructed of a material that provides little or no interference with the magnetic field generator.

APPARATUS FOR POSITIONING A LOWER LIMB OF A PATIENT DURING SURGERY AND SURGICAL POSITIONING SYSTEM COMPRISING SAID APPARATUS

An apparatus for positioning a lower limb of a patient during surgery comprises at least one support structure connectable, through a proximal end, to a support device for a patient and defining a traction axis of the patient's lower limb, a traction slide slidingly movable on the support structure, a gripping body for a distal end of the patient's lower limb connectable to the traction slide. The support structure, when connected to the support device for a patient, is suspended and comprises at least one actuator, hydraulically connected with the traction slide, for moving the support structure in space.

Article of manufacture, patient pad system and method for a surgical procedure

The invention is a patient positioner assembly, system, article of manufacture, kit, and method of a positioning a patient useful in surgical procedures to secure and hold a patient on a support table. The patient positioner comprises a sheet assembly, a pad assembly, a film for protecting a patient-facing surface of the pad assembly, and straps for a patient's limb(s) that operably connects to a support table pad having hook portions configured to operably connect to a loop base of the sheet assembly thereby operably connecting the support table pad to the sheet assembly. The sheet assembly can be configured as a cover, sheet and/or drape from suitable materials impermeable or that otherwise do not permit the passage of a fluid through its substance to the table pad and/or the split-pad assembly.
