A method of assembling a casket assembly includes folding a left end of one side panel toward a main body portion to form part of a head end of the casket assembly. The method also includes folding a right end of the side panel toward the main body portion to form part of a foot end of the casket assembly. Another side panel is folded the same way, and also forms part of both the head end and the foot end.
