A patient securing overlay is provided that includes a sheet of fabric for supporting a patient's torso on a surgical table. The sheet of fabric has an upper surface configured to face the patient and a lower surface configured to face a surgical table mattress or underbody support. The sheet of fabric includes friction enhancing elements applied to at least a portion of the upper surface thereof. The sheet of fabric can include an extension at a foot end of the sheet of fabric that provides material to be tucked under a foot end of the surgical table mattress or underbody support for securing the foot end of the sheet of fabric to the surgical table mattress or underbody support. The extension can include one or more friction enhancing elements.

Described is a patient transfer mattress for lifting and transferring patients. The patient transfer mattress can be used in a gentle and pressure ulcer preventative approach. Also described is a method for lifting and/or transferring a patient using a patient transfer mattress.

A multifunctional wheelchair contains: a body, a support plate, a lifting seat, and a shampoo basin. The body includes a retractable mounting, a chair back, at least one drive device, and two frames. A patient support apparatus includes a frame. A vertical transport structure may be coupled with the frame. A grip is coupled with the vertical transport structure and at least one grip sensor is coupled to the grip on the vertical transport structure. A controller determines a vertical position of a user applied force applied to the at least one grip sensor and the controller activates a power drive mode upon determining that the push force has reached a threshold value corresponding to the vertical position of the user applied force and propel patient support apparatus.

In accordance with one or more embodiments of the invention, a stand up device is presented, including a substantially ring-shaped grip portion, a height adjustment tube, a frame, a securing mechanism, and a plurality of legs. The stand up device provides additional support when installed with a mattress, and facilitates getting up from, and standing up from, a bed.

A bed pad device is disclosed, wherein the device is comprised of a generally rectangular body with at least one strap on either side of the body that may contain a hook or loop surface. An invalid user may be placed on top of the device, wherein the strap on the left side of the body is designed to meet the corresponding strap on the right side of the body, when the device is folded over itself, thereby forming a hollow cylindrical shape. The hook and loop surfaces of the straps may then be pressed together, forming a bond which holds the device together and secures the user in a desired position. Further, the straps can be wrapped around the railing of a bed, such that the position of the invalid user can be secured.

The present invention relates to an incubator comprising: a main body part which has a space formed therein for accommodating an infant; supports of which the lower portions are connected to one side of the main body part; a hood driving part provided with one or more multi joint link units and pivotably coupled to the supports; a hood which is disposed above the main body part, and opens and closes the main body part by means of the operation of the hood driving part; and a heater which is mounted to the hood driving part and changes position so that a heat radiating part faces away from the main body part when the main body part is closed, and faces the main body part when the main body part is open. Thus, the present invention can be easily converted for use as a warmer.

A patient turning sheet includes a flexible rectangular bottom sheet that has a surface area sized to support the majority of the body of a person lying on the patient turning sheet. A flexible rectangular top sheet is sewn to the bottom sheet and has a surface area less than the surface area of the bottom sheet. The top sheet is sewn to the bottom sheet, offset toward the head end of the turning sheet to be positioned at the area of maximum contact and load of the patient on the turning sheet.
