Reconfigurable upper leg support for a surgical frame
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a main beam that can be rotated, raised/lowered, and tilted upwardly/downwardly to afford positioning and repositioning of a patient supported thereon. The surgical frame also includes a reconfigurable upper leg support for supporting portions of the upper legs, the hips, and the lower back of the patient to facilitate positioning and repositioning there during surgery. The upper leg support via reconfiguration thereof can accommodate patients of different sizes, can provide flexure of the patient's lumbar spine to facilitate surgical access thereto, and can prevent unwanted torsion of a patient's spine during such reconfiguration.
SURGICAL FRAME HAVING TRANSLATING LOWER BEAM AND METHOD FOR USE THEREOF
A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery. The surgical frame includes a translating beam that is moveable between at least a first lateral position and a second lateral position. The translating beam is used to join a first support portion and a second support portion of the surgical frame to one another, and movement of the translating beam affords access to a patient receiving area.

A head support device for use with a bed includes a head-receiving component; a base component adapted to rest on a stable surface; a vertically-oriented spine component extending upwards from the base component to the head-receiving component; and at least one bed-connection structure extending horizontally from an intermediate position along the spine component.

This invention was developed in response to the need to move a patient from the supine (face up) position to the prone (face down) position and then back to the supine position after therapy is completed. There is the additional option to stop halfway in the lateral decubitus position for therapies which require the patient to be place on their side.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REORIENTING A PERSON
An apparatus for reorienting a person includes a wrap having a first lateral portion and a second lateral portion, the first lateral portion and the second lateral portion being releasably securable to one another along an anterior region of the wrap between lateral sides of the person and along a posterior region of the wrap between the lateral sides of the person via a set of fasteners. Each of the lateral portions are dimensioned to extend around a corresponding one of the lateral sides of the person and having anterior and posterior edges that are dimensioned to extend at most partway across to an opposite one of the lateral sides of the person. The wrap is made from flexible materials and dimensioned to extend at least from below knees of the person to above the elbows of the person and snugly retain the person therein.

Surgical table with movement capabilities of lower body support structures
A surgical table for prone and lateral positioning of a patient, where the table includes a base and a patient support structure. The base may include a head and a foot end support structure. The patient support structure may include an upper body support structure cantilevered off of the head end support structure at a first end and a lower body support structure cantilevered off of the foot end support structure at a second end. The upper body support structure may include a chest pad. The lower body support structure may include a lower body translation and rotation structure and at least one pelvic pad supported thereon.
DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING A HUMAN BODY IN A LYING POSITION
A device for supporting a human body in a lying-down position, notably in a prone position, is made up of at least one shoulder support module and at least one pelvis support module. The shoulder support module and the pelvis support module are made up of a first portion that comes into contact with the human body, the first portions forming a pneumatic cavity having a valve, and the first portion of the shoulder support module being kept at a pressure of less than 0.04 bar underneath the weight of the human body.
