Surgical table
A surgical table comprises a tabletop having several tabletop sections, a column for supporting the tabletop by supporting one of the tabletop sections, and at least one operating unit, wherein one of the tabletop sections is a movable tabletop section configured to perform a motion with respect to at least one of an adjacent tabletop section and the column in a power-driven manner, and the operating unit is fixed to the movable tabletop section for actuating the motion.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL CONTROLLER TO SUPPORT AIR-PRESSURE- BASED PATIENT POSITIONING
A controller for positioning a patient utilizing an inflatable device is provided. The inflatable device may include three independently inflatable chambers. The controller may include first, second, and third pressure output ports; first, second, and third pressure sensors; a plurality of electro-mechanical switches; an electronic user interface; an computer; a pressurized air input port; and an atmospheric air port. The plurality of electro-mechanical switches may be configured to independently control air flow through the first, second, and third pressure output ports. The first, second, and third pressure sensors may be configured to measure pressure internal to the first, second, and third pressure output ports, respectively. The computer may be configured to receive first, second, and third pressure signals from each of the first, second, and third pressure sensors, respectively; to control each of the plurality of electro-mechanical switches; and communication with the user through the electronic user interface.
SUPPORTING ARRANGEMENT FOR A PATIENT IN A PRONE POSITION
A supporting system is provided for a patient in a prone position, especially for patients that are intubated and/or mechanically ventilated. The supporting arrangement ensures proper posture of the patient so as to prevent damages caused by prolonged lying in the prone position. The arrangement includes a kit of separate modules (10 - 40, 50sx, 50dx - 90sx, 90dx) for containing, pushing, supporting, and unloading distinct body segments of the patient’s body. The modules are freely positionable and orientable with respect to one another on an external supporting surface, such as a mattress. The supporting arrangement provides for a sub-arrangement intended for supporting the patient’s head and comprises modules for the head (10 -40) which make it possible to effectively support the user’s head in a neutral position as well as in a position turned to the side.
Multipurpose person relocation device
A person relocation device includes sheet which defines a person space for a person. The sheet includes a left lateral strap, a right lateral strap, a head end strap and a foot end strap. Each strap is attached to the sheet only at a perimeter thereof and does not extend into the person space. The straps are adapted to be connected to a hoist so that when all of the straps are so connected and tensioned by the weight of the person the sheet suspends the person in a seated posture.
Dental equipment monitoring system
A non-invasive dental or surgical monitoring system is disclosed. The monitoring system is comprised generally of dental or surgical equipment to be monitored, a main sensor unit, a set of sensors. The main sensor unit is in communication with various sensors removably attached to the equipment. The sensors monitor environment conditions related to the equipment rather than directly monitoring the equipment. The collected data is sent to the main sensor unit and can be accessed, or wirelessly transmitted by signal to a device or devices at another location. As collected data aggregates, a data profile can be created, machine learning can be used to discover patterns, and predictive analysis can be incorporated to help software make predictions of, or spot in real time, equipment problems based on deviations from the profile.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING OPEN ACCESS POINT INDICATORS IN AN INFANT CARE STATION
An infant care station can include a lighting system, at least one access point, and a processor that can detect that the at least one access point is open. The processor can also provide, using the lighting system, a first color light in response to the detecting that the at least one access point is open, and provide the first color light with a modified brightness or provide a second color light with the lighting system after a predetermined period of time elapses with the at least one access point being open.
Surgical support system
A surgical table extension comprises a frame and a connector. The frame includes a surgical table connecting portion, a first connector, and a second connector. The connector enabler is movably coupled to the frame and is configured to selectively enable one of the first connector and the second connector to be removably coupled with a support device.
System and method of treatment using a universal cage apparatus
A system and a method of treatment using a universal cage creating a coordinate method of exercise. Physical therapy or fitness exercises are provided to a patient through a system of cords, blocks and belts disposed on a plurality of grid panels through a plurality of mounting devices. Placement of the mounting devices on the grid panel is determined by which muscle groups are receiving therapy and the type of movement required. Once the placement for each movement is determined, the coordinates of the mounting device are captured so that the mounting devices can be preset consistently for each therapy session.
INFLATABLE DEVICE
An inflatable device for patient positioning is provided. The inflatable device may include a first inflation chamber subsystem, a second inflation chamber subsystem, a third inflation chamber subsystem. At least a portion of the first inflation chamber subsystem may be conspicuously marked with a first color. At least a portion of the second inflation chamber subsystem may be conspicuously marked with a second color. At least a portion of the third inflation chamber subsystem may conspicuously marked with a third color. The first, second, and third colors may be visually distinct.
CUSTOMIZABLE MEMORABILIA COVER
A customizable memorabilia cover has front and back substantially rectangular leafboard members coupled to a spine member. Elastic bands may be coupled one each at the distal and proximal ends of the elastic bands substantially to the outer corners of the rectangular leafboard members. The elastic bands are disposed acutely from the edges of the rectangular leafboard members and designed to receive the corners of a book cover of a book therethrough, the book contained within the front and back leafboard members substantially abutted by the spine member. At least one groove member of the front leafboard member has a closed base and closed side members. A substantially transparent cover member is contiguously coupled to a top portion of the side members to define an ash container assembly. An alternative embodiment includes a covering or enclosing member that holds an electronic handheld device removably coupled to the back leafboard member.
