Patient transport apparatus with multiple mode handle assembly
A patient transport apparatus for transporting patients in a stair configuration and in a chair configuration. A multiple mode handle assembly is provided for user engagement, and is movable between a first handle configuration, a second handle configuration, and a third handle configuration.
Modular linking system, wheelchair kit and wheelchair
A modular linking system provides a positioning and supporting structure for mounting various components, particularly on a wheelchair structure. A wheelchair kit includes such a modular linking system and further wheelchair includes at least one modular linking system or at least one wheelchair kit.
Convertible wheelchair
A convertible wheelchair is provided. The convertible wheelchair can have a wheelchair configuration and a walker configuration to allow a user to alternately sit and stand, and can include a frame supporting a chair. The chair can be foldable and can include a chair back and a chair seat. The convertible wheelchair can include support and stability mechanisms accessible in the wheelchair configuration and the walker configuration including one or more torso supports, a fall seat, and stability bars.
Patient Transport Apparatus Having Caster Assembly Biasing Mechanisms
A patient transport apparatus including a support structure movable between a chair configuration for traversing floor surfaces and a stowed configuration for storage. A seat section is pivotably coupled to the support structure. A caster assembly includes a pin coupled to the support structure and defining a swivel axis, a caster frame arranged to pivot about the swivel axis between a plurality of caster orientations, a wheel coupled to the caster frame and arranged for engagement with the floor in the chair configuration, and biasing mechanism interposed between the caster frame and the pin. The biasing mechanism urges the caster frame toward a stowed aster orientation in response to disengagement between the wheel and floor surfaces occurring as the support structure moves from the chair configuration to the stowed configuration.
MODULAR WHEELCHAIR SYSTEM
A convertible transport system including a seat portion, a back support portion, and a pivoting mechanism coupled to the seat portion and to the back support portion. The pivoting mechanism is configured to adjust and lock the back support portion relative to the seat portion, the pivoting mechanism having three operative states: a free pivoting state allowing the back support portion to pivot relative to the seat portion about an axis; a ratcheting state allowing the back support portion to only pivot toward the seat portion about the axis; and a locking state in which the pivoting mechanism is locked to thereby prevent a pivoting movement of the back support portion relative to the seat portion.
Stroller rollator
A rollator is disclosed, including first and second upright members, each including handle portions, wheels, hinges disposed between the wheels and the handle portions, channels disposed along the upright members between the hinges and the wheels, and lateral hinges orthogonal to the hinges. First and second foldable support members having wheels are attached to the hinges. At least one lateral support member is disposed between and attached to the lateral hinges, and includes an intermediate hinge. Brake systems include brake lines communicating between brake controls and brakes. In a reversible storage configuration, the foldable support members are rotated to be at least partially disposed in the channels, and the lateral hinges and intermediate hinge rotate to collapse the lateral support member, bringing the upright members with the folded foldable support members adjacent to one another.
ELECTRIC MOBILITY VEHICLE
An electric mobility vehicle including a front-wheel-side body, a rear-wheel-side body, a seat on which a passenger sits in an in-use state, and a linking mechanism that links the front-wheel-side body with the rear-wheel-side body so as to be pivotable about a pivoting axis extending in a vehicle width direction. The electric mobility vehicle is foldable by pivoting the front-wheel-side body and the rear-wheel-side body relative to each other in a vehicle front-to-rear direction. The electric mobility vehicle includes a footrest provided in the front-wheel-side body, a front-end roller or a front-end caster provided in the front-wheel-side body and disposed at a vehicle front side relative to a front end of the front wheel in the in-use state, and comes into contact with the floor surface in the folded state to make the electric mobility vehicle stand alone.
Wheel chair with automatic breaking
A wheel chair with several new and useful features is provided. Those new and useful features provide the wheel chair with enhanced lateral stability, automatic cocking of an automatic locking device whenever an occupant sits in the wheel chair, and a holding mechanism that enables the wheel chair to be freely wheeled about when there is no occupant, and automatically move to a cocked state as soon as an occupant sits on the chair. The result is an automatic locking system for a manual wheelchair that unlocks the wheels for intentional motion when the chair is occupied, and locks the wheelchair wheels immediately when it is unoccupied, yet in no way interferes with the typical locking mechanism of the standard manual wheelchair when so desired.
FOLDING WHEELCHAIR
A folding wheelchair includes two side frames, which are connected to each other via a cross-strut. A fabric is stretched between the side frames in order to form a seating area of a seat. The side frames are formed identically and include an outer tube and an inner tube. The outer tubes have a slot extending in a longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an outer tube end. The inner tubes each include a slot extending in the longitudinal direction (L), which opens at least into an inner tube end. A tensioning rod is accommodated in one of the outer tubes and opens into the associated inner tube. The fabric is led to the outside through the slots of the inner tube and outer tube. The inner tube, the fabric and the tensioning rod are connected to one another.
FOLDABLE WHEELCHAIR HAVING A STIFFER CONSTRUCTION
The present invention relates to a foldable wheelchair (10) comprising two side frame components (11a, 11b), respectively a left and a right side frame components, each mounting front and rear wheels (12a, 13a; 12b, 13b), respectively left and right, front and rear wheels, said rear wheels (13a, 13b) having an axis of rotation (XX′), said side frame components (11a, 11b) being connected together for relative folding movement between an erected position and a folded position by foldable link element (20) extending between said two side frame components (11a, 11b), wherein the left, respectively the right, side frame component (11a, 11b) comprises a T-shaped bracket (17), along which is connected both a rear wheel suspension (19) of the left, respectively the right, rear wheel (13a, 13b) and a left, respectively a right, end (21a, 22b) of the foldable link element (20), wherein the position of T-shaped bracket (17) is adjustable along the back-to-front direction of the wheelchair so as to permit the adjustment of the position of the center of gravity of the wheelchair.
