SENSORY AND EXPERIENTIAL ENHANCEMENTS FOR PATIENT CARE SETTINGS WITHIN HOME AND HOSPITAL ENVIRONMENTS
A seating module for use with a chair frame includes a perimeter frame member. A resilient internal platform is attached to the perimeter frame member at a static portion. An upper seat cushion is disposed on top of a resilient internal platform. The resilient internal platform is biased to an original shape that defines a resting position. Upon a patient resting upon the resilient internal platform, the resilient internal platform deflects in a downward direction toward a seating position and contemporaneously exerts an upward biasing force that assists the patient in reaching a seated position and also assists the patient is moving upward from the seated position.
MOTORIZED LIFTING AND TRANSFER CHAIR
A motorized lifting and transfer chair includes a base having a front portion and an opposing rear portion, where the rear portion has a pair of foot rests. The chair also includes a plurality of wheels mounted to the base configured to be selectively locked, and a vertical post assembly secured proximate to the rear portion of the base and extending upwards from the base. In addition, the chair includes a seating platform cantilevered from the vertical post assembly, where the seating platform comprises two portions with an aperture formed along two adjacent edges of the two portions and the two portions are configured to swing open and closed about the vertical post assembly. The chair includes a motorized device that raises and lowers the seating platform, and a latch is configured to secure the two portions of the seating platform closed.

ERGONOMIC SEAT APPARATUS
A seat apparatus for facilitating movement of a user from a sitting position to a standing position is provided. The seat apparatus includes a main body having a bottom surface, a back wall and a pair of lateral walls which are connected together and define a recessed region configured for sitting in. The main body further includes a seat projection extending upwardly from the bottom surface, between the lateral walls, whereby the seat projection is shaped and adapted to maintain thighs of a user separated on either side thereof. The seat apparatus also comprises a base provided below the main body and adapted to cooperate therewith. At least one of the base and main body has a convex and curved cross-sectional profile adapted to allow the apparatus to pivot about at least one axis in order to tilt the main body forward and urge a user in the standing position.

Medical support apparatus
A medical chair includes a base, a seat section, and a leg rest pivotally mounted relative to the seat and adapted to move between an extended position and a retracted position. The chair further includes a scissor mechanism coupled to the leg rest to extend and contract the leg rest and an actuator mounted on one end relative to the seat section and having an extendible driving end coupled to the leg rest wherein when the extendible driving end extends the extendible driving end pivots the leg rest about the pivot axis and extends the scissor mechanism.

Configurable elevated seat
Systems, methods, and devices for seat elevation includes a base and a horizontal seat portion. Vertical supports attached to the seat portion include multiple lift angle holes that allow the seat to be elevated to different lifted angles. Elongate members pivotally connect to vertical supports. The elongate members attach via one of the multiple lift angle holes. The elongate members are able to attach to different lift angle holes. The lifted angle is determined by the first one of the at least two seat position holes. A lift generator is attached to the base and extends to lift the horizontal seat portion into the lifted position. The lift generator contracts to return the horizontal seat portion to the seated position.

Walker attachment for wheelchairs
A walker adapted for attachment to a wheelchair may be used to assist a user with walking while retaining the wheelchair in close proximity behind the user for use when the user needs to sit. The walker may be removably attached to the frame of the wheelchair for easy exchange of use from one wheelchair to another. A pivotable, removably attachable gate between two lateral frame members may allow for the walker to be manipulated from a walking position to a stored position. The gate may include an extendable width to allow for use with wheelchairs of different widths. A frame of the walker may be extendably attached to the wheelchair, thereby allowing the user to extend and retract the walker between the walking position and the stored position.
