A PATIENT TRANSFER MATTRESS
Described is a patient transfer mattress for lifting and transferring patients. The patient transfer mattress can be used in a gentle and pressure ulcer preventative approach. Also described is a method for lifting and/or transferring a patient using a patient transfer mattress.
Patient transfer system
Disclosed is a patient transfer system for transferring a user between a bed and a purposefully designed mobile sitting device that is aligned and berthed alongside the bed, wherein, the bed is adaptable to a seated arrangement and includes an interleaf structure of cushions and platforms, the platform including: a padding, a rail, restricted path, or track, and means for transferring the padding in a direction parallel to the ground away or towards the bed; the bed further includes means to raise or lower the top of the cushions or the padding; and the mobile sitting device includes a receiving rail, restricted path or track to receive the padding.
Support apparatus for bariatric person
A support apparatus for a person includes a main cushion having a bottom surface, a top surface to form a support surface for a person supported on the main cushion, and a length having a perimeter that has longitudinal and lateral sides extending around the perimeter. In addition, the support apparatus has at least one sleeve located along one of the sides of the man cushion. The sleeve is configured between a stowed state, where the sleeve is closely adjacent to the one side, and a deployed state, where the sleeve forms an extension of the top surface of the main cushion to thereby increase the width or the length of the support surface.
COMPANION ROBOT TRANSFER ASSISTANT
A companion robot transfer assistant for usage alongside an automatic transfer bed and a compatible wheelchair or commode chair includes: means for securing, supporting or grasping the upper body or arms of a patient, means for moving towards or away from a person, and means for sliding or moving laterally from side-to-side; wherein during transfer, the companion robot transfer assistant moves in front of the patient, secures the patient and assists or allows the patient to lean forward resting a portion of their upper body weight on it.
Inflatable Chair Lifting Device
The present invention relates to an inflatable chair lifting device comprised of an inflatable body further comprised of a pair of side members, a backrest member, a front member, a seat member, an electric pump and a foot pump. The body is preferably hollow and inflatable and may be generally configured as a chair. The body can be placed under a fallen user in an uninflated state, such that the body can then be fully inflated to form a chair-like structure that raises a user from a fallen position. The body can further be inflated manually via blowing air into the body, via a foot pump or via an integrated electric pump.
Automatically inflatable patient transfer air mattress
Provided is an automatically inflatable patient transfer air mattress designed to enable immobile persons, such as patients with mobility difficulty, to be rapidly laid and transferred thereon in the event of a disaster or an accident, prevent an injury to the patient caused by a falling object dropping from a ceiling or any other place, and reduce impact in the case of movement via stairs. The automatically inflatable patient transfer air mattress includes a main mattress portion forming a plate shape having a predetermined thickness when charged and inflated with air, a protective cover portion provided on one side surface of the main mattress portion in a longitudinal direction, and configured to cover one surface of the main mattress portion when deployed, and a cushion wheel unit disposed on a bottom portion of the main mattress portion to absorb impact from below.
Patient upright device
Devices for bringing a person that has fallen to the ground to an upright position comprise frames adapted to receive a person's body after a person has achieved a lying position, inflatable bladders attached to the frames on which the person's body rests when the bladders are in an uninflated state, the bladders being inflatable from a first position to a second position, and fittings attached to the inflatable bladders for receiving hoses to allow the inflatable bladders to be inflated from the first position to the second position.
Inflatable Coveralls Transforms into a Chair to Lift a Fallen Person
Inflatable coveralls provide individuals, who fall frequently, with protection and independence. The coveralls consist of pads on the shoulders and hips to reduce the impact of a fall on the person. When worn and located underneath the fallen person, the coveralls can be inflated with air into a chair, creating a higher platform from which the person can more easily get up. This reduces the dependence these individuals have on a caregiver. Users can fasten the coveralls using hook & loop or magnets, instead of buttons or zippers, because it is easier to wear and they automatically open from the increase in air pressure of the inflated coveralls. Made of lightweight and air-impermeable material, the inflatable coveralls pads the fall of individual and elevated the fallen individual so that they can more easily rise, allowing them to gain independence.
PERSON SUPPORT SURFACES INCLUDING SET BY PREVIEW FUNCTION FOR CONTINUOUS LATERAL ROTATION THERAPY
A person support apparatus including a person support surface including an actuating device and a controller configured to operate the actuating device to perform a set by preview subroutine and a rotation preview subroutine, wherein, during the set by preview subroutine, the controller receives user input positioning the actuating device into a first preview position and sets the first preview position as a first evaluation position, and wherein, during the set by preview subroutine, the controller receives user input positioning the actuating device into a second preview position and sets the second preview position as a second evaluation position. In embodiments, the controller is configured to simultaneously perform a P&V subroutine during rotation of the person support surface.
Transfer Mattress
A patient transfer mattress includes elongate top and bottom sheets joined around their perimeter and by one or more baffles to define a cavity between the sheets. The patient transfer mattress also includes a valve in fluid communication with the cavity, and an outwards facing surface of the bottom sheet has a low friction material positioned at or adjacent to it. Methods of forming and using the patient transfer mattress are also disclosed.
