A CONNECTION POINT ASSEMBLY FOR A PATIENT LIFTER SPREADER BAR WITH A VISUAL INDICATOR INDICATIVE OF A LATCH POSITION THEREOF
A connection point assembly for a patient lifter spreader bar has a hook member defining a throat having a mouth, the mouth being formed between a distal end of the hook member and an adjacent base portion and a latch assembly operably coupled to the hook member at the mouth and comprising a latch configurable between an open position wherein the latch does not obstruct the mouth and a closed position wherein the latch obstructs the mouth. The connection point assembly comprises a visual indicator indicative of the open position and the closed position.
Ceiling Lift Tilt Management System
A ceiling lift tilt management system includes first and second motor units, which are attachable to a rail system of a medical care facility. Each motor unit includes a flexible strap, which can be coiled or uncoiled within the motor unit to raise or lower a spreader bar attached thereto. Coiling or uncoiling of the straps can cause raising or lowering of a sling attached to the spreader bars. The system also allows for tilting of the spreader bars by coiling or uncoiling a leading motor unit strap. The system includes a control system that measures the relative lengths of the two straps in order to ensure that relative tilt between the spreader bars does not exceed a threshold. Once a threshold tilt for height difference is reached, further user requests for additional tilting are prohibited. Patient comfort and safety are therefore ensured.
Person lifting apparatuses including lifting straps and methods of operation based on current draw
A person lifting apparatus includes a first lifting strap feeding device including a first drum and a first lifting strap wound on the first drum. A second lifting strap feeding device includes a second drum and a second lifting strap wound on the second drum. A controller is communicatively coupled to the first lifting strap feeding device and to the second lifting strap feeding device. The controller includes logic that controls operation of the first lifting strap feeding device and the second lifting strap feeding device based on a comparison of current draws of the first lifting strap feeding device and the second lifting strap feeding device.

Attachment Members for a Slingbar Component of a Lift System
A slingbar includes a sling attachment member. The sling attachment member includes a frame including a base having a top end and a bottom end, and a hook extending from the bottom end to a hook terminus. The hook terminus and the top end of the base define an opening. The hook, base, and opening bound an interior of the attachment member. A closure element includes an outboard gate hinged to the hook terminus and an inboard gate hinged to the base. The gates have a default state in which each gate extends laterally only part way across the opening.
HEALTHCARE LIFTING VEHICLE
A healthcare lifting vehicle includes a base frame, a drive mechanism, a preloading mechanism and a conveying mechanism. The preloading mechanism includes a pressure wheel and an elastic member, and the pressure wheel is movably coupled to the base frame, and both ends of the elastic member are connected to the base frame and the pressure wheel respectively. The conveying mechanism includes a reel, a transfer gear and a conveyor belt, and the reel is pivotally connected to the base frame and driven by the drive mechanism, and the transfer gear is axially coupled to base frame and formed on a side of the pressure wheel, and the conveyor belt is wound around the reel and extended towards the transfer gear and elastically coupled between the transfer gear and the pressure wheel.

Method and equipment for raising a lying person
There is presented an equipment for raising of an associated lying person, comprising a seat, a primary leg, a secondary leg being secondary leg being rotatably connected to the seat and a backrest, wherein the equipment is arranged to be passed from a first configuration to a second configuration by rotation of the secondary leg around a rotation axis, and wherein the equipment is arranged so that it enables placement of the equipment between the associated lying person and a supporting surface while the bottom of the associated lying person is in contact with the supporting surface upon which the associated lying person is lying and subsequently raising the associated lying person by passing the equipment from the first configuration to the secondary configuration by rotation of the secondary leg. In a particular embodiment, the equipment is arranged for being reversibly assembled and disassembled without using tools.
ROTATING SUPPORT STRUCTURE WITH RELEASE PEDAL
A rotating support stand for an individual with limited mobility is provided in which a pivoting base supports a platform. The base and platform are able to pivot when a release pin that is actuated by a pedal is disengaged from the platform. Following a rotation of the platform, the pin will engage into a locked position and allows the individual supported on the platform to be in a new second position.
DETERMINING LIFTING EVENTS USING SENSORS FOR PERSON LIFTING APPARATUSES
A method of determining a lifting event of a person lifting apparatus is provided. The method includes receiving one or more of (i) current load information from a current measuring device that is indicative of current drawn by an actuator operatively connected to a lifting strap of the person lifting apparatus; (ii) strap position information from a position sensor that is indicative of a paid out length of the lifting strap of the person lifting apparatus; and (iii) weight information from a weight sensor that is indicative of a load supported by the lifting strap of the person lifting apparatus. A computing device comprising a processor using logic is used to identify at least one of a raising event, a repositioning event and a lowering event based on the one or more of the current load information, strap position information and weight information.
