A kit for converting a crutch to a cane, table, or bench is disclosed. The kit includes a crutch, a picker, a tabletop panel, a foot pad, and a seat cushion. The crutch includes an upper section connected to a middle section by a first pivot and a lower section connected to the middle section by a second pivot. The first pivot and the second pivot orient the sections of crutch to position the crutch in an upright crutch configuration, a table configuration, a cane configuration, or a bench configuration. The picker attaches to the upper section when the crutch is in the table configuration. The foot pad attaches to the picker to stabilize the picker upright. The tabletop panel attaches to the upper section when the crutch is in the table configuration. The seat cushion attaches to the lower section when the crutch is in the bench configuration.

A lightweight, stable walking cane that contains an integrated grasper tool to extend a user's reach to pick up objects. The cane contains two configurations, a locked walking cane configuration for stability and balance, and an unlocked configuration with an open grasper tool for grasping objects.

An assistive cane and reach extension combination device for improved stability and reach includes a shaft. A handle that is coupled to and extends from of the shaft is configured to be grasped in a hand of a user, positioning the shaft to transfer a load from the handle to a surface upon which the user is positioned. A bar that is hingedly coupled to the shaft proximate to the handle is selectively positionable in a stowed configuration, wherein the bar is substantially parallel to the shaft, and a deployed configuration, wherein the bar is selectively positionable transversely to the shaft. In the deployed configuration the bar and the shaft are configured to insert an article. An actuator that is coupled to the shaft is operationally coupled to the bar so that the actuator is positioned to selectively motivate the bar toward the shaft to grasp the article.

A pick-up aid on a shaft-like object which can be a crutch or a tool. The pick-up aid is mounted on a shaft of the crutch or on a handle of the tool so as to be pivotable about a bearing axis and to extend along the shaft or handle and comprises an auxiliary grip part with a disc head and a finger arm. The shaft-like object has a preferred direction of falling over, and the pick-up aid is mounted to the shaft-like object such that when it falls over, the disc head will hit the ground and the finger arm will thereby be erected relative to the shaft or handle.

This invention relates to a cane/crutch accessory, arranged to be fastened near a distal end (13) of a cane/crutch (11) or similar also equipped with a ferrule (12), by means of a fastening means (5, 17), optionally including adaptor ring/s (15), which accessory includes an arm (28) protruding from said fastening means (5, 17) and a hook-shaped member (6) protruding at an angle in relation to said arm (28), thereby creating a simple grasping device with no moving parts between the arm (6) and the ferrule (12), wherein said arm (6) preferably having a ramp profile (28) to avoid getting caught in objects.

The present cane and grabber device can comprise a cane component and a grabber component. The grabber component can be housed within the cane component or can be unsheathed from the cane component and utilized to grab one or more objects. In an embodiment, the cane component can provide support to a user both while housing the grabber component and while the grabber component has been unsheathed. In an alternative embodiment, one or more grabber components can be housed by a walker or other similar support providing device.
