Noninvasive, Regional Brain Thermal Stimulation for Inducing Relaxation
Methods, systems and devices for reducing anxiety, including increasing relaxation and/or calm. In some variations these methods may include reducing anxiety, increase relaxation and/or calm by non-invasive temperature regulation of the frontal cortex prior to and/or during sleep. The subject may have an anxiety disorder, or may not have a diagnosed anxiety disorder.
Thermotherapy bed
In order to maximize spatial utilization and to minimize the volume of a thermotherapy bed so that the thermotherapy bed can be easily stored or moved, the thermotherapy bed includes: a bed body having a thermotherapy device placed therein; side frames connected to both side surfaces of the bed body, respectively; and bed legs configured to support the bed body and connected to the side frames, respectively, wherein the thermotherapy device is placed in a center of the bed body and forms a protrusion on a bottom surface of the bed body, and the bed legs are folded to face an inside of the bed body and are accommodated in spaces formed at both sides of the thermotherapy device.
MYOFASCIAL AND COMPRESSION RELEASE DEVICE
Described herein is a device and method for performing ischemic compression therapy to treat myofascial release. A method for performing ischemic compression therapy includes providing a device comprising two or more pressure rollers and an elastic compression band. The device is capable of being placed on a trigger point to form a loop configuration to provide 360° compression to the trigger point for a predetermined amount of time, such as a time sufficient to block blood flow to the trigger point.
Heel Protector and Corresponding Rehabilitation Systems and Methods for Using the Same
A device (900) includes a leg engaging section (101) and a foot engaging section (102 intersecting at a heel receiver (103). The leg engaging section and the foot engaging section defining a leg insertion aperture (104). A first compression wrap member (301) and a second compression wrap member (302) extend from the leg engaging section. An inflatable bladder (501) can be disposed along the leg engaging section between the leg insertion aperture and a compressible cushion layer (902). The inflatable bladder can be selectively inflatable through a connection tube (502) exiting the inflatable bladder at a non-orthogonal angle (504) relative to an edge (507) of the inflatable bladder. The leg engaging section can define at least one channel (1002) to permit the connection tube to exit the device.
MASSAGER HEAD
A massager head comprising a massager main body, a contact headarranged on the massager main body for contacting a user’s skin, muscles, fascia and other surfaces, and a temperature control part arranged in the massager main body and connected with the contact head. The massager head is designed in a flat plate to better take care of the skin, muscles, fascia and the like, and added with the temperature control part for cooling or heating so that the massager head can be used at a relatively hot or cold temperature, which brings a better use effect to the user.
Heating system for a sauna and sauna with such a heating system
The heating system for a sauna comprises an oven and an accumulator. The heating system is electrically connectable to a mains which provides a first electrical power. The accumulator is provided to provide a second electrical power. The oven is operable with the first and second electrical powers to increase the thermal power.
Meibomian gland roller
A Meibomian Gland Roller system allows for self-administered the treatment for a leading cause of dry eyes, namely, tear film oil deficiency. The system combines an effective and safe technique to combine mechanical rolling pressure with heat for meibomian gland drainage. The rolling action of the roller cylinder combined with the roller head to increase effectiveness in empting inspissated meibomian glands. The roller allows the patient to safely start the application of the pressure at the bottom of the glands and effectively roll open clogged oil glands. The washable roller keeps the head clean for long term use. A preheated eye-shaped soft gel pad can prepare the lids before the roller tip is applied by heating and softening the meibomian gland contents, allowing the roller to have a more effective action to induce mechanical extraction of the gland content.
Temperature controlled and vibrating therapeutic garment
A temperature controllable wrap assembly that includes a wrap portion configured to be worn around a user's body part, and at least a first temperature control module positioned on the wrap portion. The first temperature control module includes a housing, a controllable temperature element, a spreader member and at least a first finger spreader pivotably attached to the spreader member. The lower surface of the spreader member is positioned to contact the user's body part. The controllable temperature element is configured to transfer thermal energy to an upper surface of the spreader member, and the spreader member is configured to conduct thermal energy to the first finger spreader.
Meibomian Gland Roller System with Eye Pads
An eye treatment system can comprise a roller with a handle, a power source, control circuitry coupled to the power source, an axle, coupled to the handle, a heating element within the roller, a cylinder configured to rotate about the axle, a temperature sensor adjacent to a surface of the cylinder, with the temperature sensor spaced apart from the heating element, and one or more arms of the roller that couple a first end of the handle to the axle, wherein at least one of the one or more arms houses first wiring through which power is supplied from the power source to the heating element and houses second wiring connecting the temperature sensor to the control circuitry. The treatment system might also comprise an eye pad comprising a heat-retaining material and sized to be applied to an eyelid of a user when warmed. The eye pad could be gel-filled.
Ball roller assemblies with thermal components
A ball roller assembly may include an inner sphere that is constructed from a thermal-sensitive material. The ball roller assembly may also include an outer sphere that is constructed from a thermal-conductive material. The inner sphere may be disposed within the outer sphere and thermal transfer may occur between the inner sphere, the outer sphere, and a user of the ball roller assembly. The ball roller assembly may further include a housing constructed from a thermal-insulative material, and the outer sphere and the inner sphere may be disposed within the housing. The inner sphere may be selectively removable from the outer sphere and the outer sphere may be selectively removable from the housing.
