The present invention relates to a device for applying energy to a human body. The device comprises a contact surface which defines an application region in which a human body can be placed in the effective range of the energy. The device further comprises at least one means for outputting the energy directed substantially onto the application region, and at least one means for generating a vapour mixture comprising at least one cannabinoid. The device according to the invention also comprises at least one means for guiding the vapour mixture, which has an effective dose of at least one cannabinoid, into the surroundings of the breathing orifices of a human body. The present invention further relates to a method for operating such a device, and to the use of vapour mixtures comprising at least one cannabinoid in designated devices.

Dynamic sauna
Systems and methods are provided for controlling infrared radiation (IR) sources of a sauna including tuning IR wavelength-ranges and radiated power-levels of IR sources, and directing IR to locations on a user's body. In one illustrative embodiment, a sauna may be provided having adjustable IR emitters to emit IR at any wavelength resulting in a desirable radiation treatment for the sauna user. In another illustrative embodiment, a method is provided for tuning IR emitters in a sauna.

Embodiments of the present invention include a system having at least one sensor configured to monitor a muscle oxygen saturation (SmO2) level of a patient who is undergoing cardiac arrest and to generate a signal representing SmO2 level; a user interface device; a processor communicably coupled to the user interface device, the processor configured to cause the user interface device to present an array of two or more possible nodes of a clinical decision support tree, wherein at least one of the nodes indicates cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) treatment of the patient with no ventilation, and wherein at least another of the nodes indicates CPR treatment of the patient with active ventilation; determine which of the two or more possible nodes should be emphasized based on the SmO2 level; and update the array of the two or more possible nodes based on the determination.

The invention relates to a method of controlling a respiratory assistance apparatus delivering a flow of gas, particularly a flow of air, comprising the steps of measuring at least one parameter indicative of said flow of gas; converting said at least one parameter indicative of said flow of gas into at least one signal indicative of said flow of gas; processing said at least one signal indicative of the flow of gas in order therefrom to deduce at least one item of information relating to cardiac massage being performed on a patient in cardiac arrest; on the basis of said at least one deduced item of information, automatically selecting a given ventilation mode from among a number of stored ventilation modes, and controlling the respiratory assistance apparatus by applying the selected ventilation mode. The signal-processing means (8) are preferably capable of determining information representing the work (W.sub.V, W.sub.T) provided by the massage or pressure and/or flow rate amplitudes resulting from the massage. The invention also relates to a monitoring method capable of being implemented by such a respiratory-aid apparatus (1).

The generating is based on at least the attribute data associated with the user and the measurement data associated with the user. The second treatment plan comprises a description of one or more predicted disease states of the user. The method also comprises transmitting, to a computing device, the second treatment plan for the user.
